Last week marked one year since Jude started Taekwondo. Last weekend he tested once again for a new rank and belt. It is pretty amazing how far he has come since last summer. He is now sporting a Yellow belt and he is thrilled. Not just because it is a new belt and rank but because it is yellow – his favorite color! HA!
He has tested four times now, and each testing is a bit more intense and harder to learn but with some extra practice and dedication to at least 2 times a week in class he is getting it. This is such a great sport for Jude because it is individual and mostly non contact but it is a great physical activity too. This boy leaves worn out and sweaty!
So proud!! Got his belt and new patch!! We are thankful for a great instructor at our school and look forward to many more years with her.
Such an accomplishment for Jude. Oh and how tall is he?!?! ha!! Going to be taller than his instructor soon.
His serious face! This boy cracks me up!! We are so proud of him and know he is just going to keep getting stronger. Good job Jude!! We love you!!!
Have your kids ever been involved in Taekwondo? What belt colors have they earned?
Oh how cute is he. Congratulations on his yellow belt. I really love martial arts for little children. Teaches such great discipline and awesome lessons not to mention strength and of course self defense. I hope he keeps going to his black belt.
My son is so excited about starting martial arts lessons this fall. He love watching the videos online and his best friend does it so he is ready. Congrats on his yellow belt. He is well on his way to his black belt.
Wow – way to go! I am a huge supposrter of kids taking some type of martial art, not so they can learn how to fight, but so that they learn the discipline that the sport teaches. Sounds like yous son is doing a great job! Tell him to keep up the wonderful work!
Congrats! He's so adorable. Ironically enough, I'm actually considering Taekwondo for myself.
Awww! He is too cute!!! Congrats on your little warrior. I think it awesome to support your children in activities they are passionate about. I am glad that he gets to wear his favorite color Yellow.
Congrats on the yellow belt Jude! What a great accomplishment and an excellent way to build confidence.
Congratulations on his accomplishments. My kids didn't do Tae-Kwondo but did karate for a few years and really enjoyed when testing time came. It is a great way to keep them active and teach them self-discipline.
My kids did Ishynru Karate. They loved every part of it. The sparring, the kata, and I love it as a mom. It's so good for them.
Congratulations to Jude! He is so cute! I know that Tae-Kwon-Do takes so much discipline and hard work, so good for him to be learning it now. I've often thought of enrolling my son, but haven't quite yet.
Aww, he is so cute and Congratulations! I love his very serious look in the last picture! My boys took Tae-Kwon-Do when they were young as well, my husband was a Brown belt in Judo. That is great he enjoys this, he will gain so much from this that is will stay with forever!
Aww that is so awesome! Congratulations to Jude 😀 I hope my parents had me enrolled in such a class like this when I was young haha. It looks so much fun!
