The countdown is on for a huge vacation month – October 2016. It seems so far away but in reality the next 2 months are going to go so quickly and before we know it we will be hanging out with Mickey Mouse and enjoying an ocean view in Jamaica. So what does that mean for me? A ton of camera time…yikes! I need to find My Picture Confidence.
I adore this family picture and here is why. I am behind everyone. We all look great and I was able to hide my body – the body that I find pounds of flaws in. Let me break it down for you. In October we are taking a family trip to Disneyland, while I will be behind the camera most of time because “Hi I’m a Social Influencer” I do want to make sure I am in plenty of family photos and pictures with my kiddos. Now, move to the end of October, the hubby and I will be sneaking away for a couples trips to the beautiful beaches of Jamaica! Ahhhh…sweet paradise. Ahhh…swimsuits!
I am not looking for a miracle to become a size two by October but I am certainly working on making way better meal choices and moving more to reach a more comfortable confidence. I am not here to make excuses because goodness knows, I can certainly think of some, but let me into my head for a moment. Have you ever gotten into such a rut that you truly do not care about what you put in your mouth? Or that your clothes are getting too tight? That is where I was about a month ago and then I woke up and thought about the memories I wanted to have on film and did not want to feel sad every time I looked at those photos.
About a month ago I started tracking my food intake and really focusing on a low fat diet. In doing so, I lowered my portions and fatty intake. See my before picture? I am focusing on this. Sure, it isn’t terrible but wow, so not where I want to be at the age of 33. After talking to my BFF about our joint decision to jump on to the food tracking game together we both did some additional research on alli® weight loss aid.
What is alli® weight loss aid?
alli® weight loss aid is the only FDA approved over-the-counter weight loss aid on the market. It works by blocking 25% of the fat you eat from being absorbed by your body.
This over the counter weight loss aid is meant for overweight adults (BMI > 25) who are 18 years or older, not pregnant or breastfeeding and should be taken while practicing a reduced-calorie and low fat diet! I felt accomplished when I knew that I had already been using that diet for over a month before taking alli® weight loss aid.
After reading the start up guide I knew that this addition would help me in finding My Picture Confidence!
I simply take one capsule per meal that includes no more that 15 grams of fat per meal, up to 3 times a day. I try to stick with a well-balanced, reduced calorie, low fat diet and activity program. And I also take a multivitamin at bedtime when taking alli® weight loss aid. I have also made sure to increase my water intake throughout the day.
To help me stay motivated I created a simple printable tracking sheet of the pounds I have lost. I am really focusing on the 25 pound mark – like I said, I am not looking for some miracle, I know true weight loss takes time, changes and focus. With the help of alli® weight loss aid I am hoping to boost my weight loss efforts. alli® weight loss aid prevents about 25% of the fat you eat from being absorbed into your body. For every 5lbs – 10lbs you lose through diet and exercise, it can help me lose 2-3 more pounds***!!

I am making so many changes in terms of my health before we head out on our month of vacation fun in hopes that the pictures we take will bring smiles to my face rather than sadness and disgust. I know I have a long way to go but since I started this journey a month before adding alli® weight loss aid to my daily life I feel like I am really focused and ready to change! I am looking forward to sharing my results with you in a few months.

Cheers to looking good and losing weight! You look gorgeous!
Weight loss is such a hard road, good for you for working hard at it. May I suggest you look into Paleo for weight loss? Instead of restricting fat, it restricts carbs and emphasizes eating lots of fruits and veggies.
It's the only "diet" that allows me to lose any weight.
Girl I feel you! I've got photo taking issues as well. I've lost 15 pound over the last 6 weeks by making a few simple changes. Eating more vegetables and protein, and cutting back on sugar and "empty calories" it hasn't been terribly hard, but there were a few days that all I wanted was SUGAR!! Its not so bad now 🙂 Good luck on your journey!
You are doing great and just take one day at a time. I love the countdown to help you stay focused. Making small changes and working on them before adding new changes is a great way to make changes you will stick to. Good luck and enjoy your trip.
We're taking a Disney vacation soon as well, but not to Jamaica lol We'll be hanging out in Florida for my daughters 5th Birthday in November. As far as Alli goes it's something I've always been interested in trying, but I'll be honest, those side effects have always terrified me.
I need to find my picture confidence, too! My weight has been a struggle since I had my kids. Because of that I've avoided many photos, and I regret it. Definitely need to find my confidence again!
I think we all need picture confidence, even if we're not really overweight. It's great that you've found ways to feel more beautiful in your family photos, like placing yourself behind your family. I'm a photographer, and there are many similar "tricks" to making curvy female bodies look bombshell gorgeous. For instance, place your hands on your waist, then slide them inward (together) just an inch or two and BAM, you have an instantly narrower waist. (Angle body away from the camera just a tad.) Enjoy your Jamaican vacay. I'm mega jealous!
Picture confidence is definitely something I struggle with too and it's because of my weight. I put on a lot of weight after having my little on that I just can get rid of. I'll have to look into this. I hope it works for you and you feel great in time for your vacation!
