We have always been a family that enjoys books.  We buy lots of books, we read lots of books and encourage our kiddos to pick up a book rather than turn on the TV.  This past year  I have been really focusing on how to make sure my Princess loving daughter sees that princesses can literally do anything in this life.  I do not talk about politics on this site but to be frank, as a mom of a daughter, I am worried that those rights could change in the next few years.
When I first saw this book I knew I had to purchase it.  A book filled with short stories all about strong women past and present.
Good Night Stories For Rebel Girls – 100 Tales of Extraordinary Women
By Elena Favilli
Synopsis:

Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls” is a children’s book packed with 100 Bedtime Stories about the life of 100 Extraordinary Women from the past and the present, illustrated by 60 Female artists from all over the world. Each woman’s story is written in the style of a fairy tale. Each story has a full page, full color portrait that captures the spirit of the portrayed hero.

Our Review:
Our whole family loves this book.  When we are looking for a short book to read before bed the kids, both Jude and Teagan, pick this book.  Teagan’s favorite story currently is Misty Copeland.  Jude has enjoyed learning about the many artists in the book.  I love sharing these stories with the kids and I have also learned so much about some incredible women all all races, religions, and ages.
I would recommend this book for everyone.  Not only is this a book filled with great information and stories but the book is beautiful.  And, please, do not think this is a book just for girls.  This book is for everyone!

I couldn't love this more. Women are historically ignored – this is a chance for little girls to find role models and realize that they matter.

I love the idea of this book! I think it is very important to know the girls can accomplish things as well as boys. I love the history of this book I love the idea of what women did to fight for what they believed in.

How neat! What a way for little gitls to have role models who don't fit into the princess cookie cutter.

I would love to read this to my son! It's a fantastic way to show him that women can do amazing things as well as men. I want him to learn that early on (he is 6). It's also a great way to empower little girls and young women.
