Jude will be turning 7 this year, I know, I am floored by that as well.  He has proudly announced that he has his theme picked out for his party and that means I get to start planning!  Our little guy is a bit obsessed with Pokemon so as you can guess, a Pokemon birthday it is!

We are going to take advantage of our large backyard and summertime birthday once again this year and throw a backyard pool party.  This is the easiest party ever.  We can invite an unlimited amount of people and set up our 2 pools and let the kids have fun in the sun!   Bonus…parents get to sit in the shade and converse with other adults.  LOVE THAT!  So, the decorations are usually minimal but I always like to do themed food and party favors.  Here are some of the great ideas I have found.

Using Pokemon printed plates, napkins and cups will cut down on my decorating needs. Discount Party Supplies has a ton of options!

I love using invites with photos. It lets us see how much the kids have changed over the years!  This Pokemon photo invite is perfect from Beauty Design Studio.

I need to remember to stock up on yellow bunny peeps this Easter so we can create this fun Pikachu treats I found on pinterest.

Help me out with the theme – what creative food could we add to our spread that is Pokemon themed?

I love when you can take food and incorporate it into the decorations. The fruit platter in the shape of a pokeball is so cute. and jiggly puff jello… ADORABLE! All of this looks relatively easy to pull together I bet you could easily pull it off.

That cake looks amazing!! Although I love the idea, my kids have never been that interested to ask for a themed birthday party, which makes it very easy for me to plan 😉

The Pokemon theme is so cute! I think it's a good idea to have a photo booth with the custom layout of the Pokemon characters on the side. I'm sure the kids and guests will have fun.

So many great party ideas! My youngest also loves Pokemon, so I will have to show him all of these ideas and see if this is what he wants for his birthday in June. He will also be 7!
