Disclosure: We received a conference rate for our stay.
Last year we were enjoying the beautiful Beaches Resort in Negril Jamaica thanks to the great Social Media on the Sand conference. As I sit here looking through photos from our trip, I cannot help but get that urge of needing some ocean waves crash on my feet and soft white sand in between my toes. Heaven! Beaches Resort and Spa Negril was fantastic, make sure you check out my other posts all about our trip, I hope you get the travel bug and reserve your stay soon…you deserve this!
Beaches Negril Resort and Spa Posts:
While Jeremy and I were in Negril we had a lot of US time which was a great way to enjoy our kid free vacation. Last year when we traveled to the Social Media on the Sand conference we traveled with two other couples so we had a lot of triple dates, crazy beach days and evenings of acting like college kids again – oh the memories. But for the trip to Negril we made sure to live up the no kids life. Hello Date Night, Date Day, Date Morning, Date Ice Cream Trip – I think you get the idea.
Date Night at Beaches Negril
For our Date Day, we started with a Glass Bottom Boat excursion that was so incredible. More on that in a future post. After our excursion we decided to enjoy the beautiful ocean for a bit before heading back to our room to shower and freshen up for our formal dining experience at the resort.
Beaches Negril has nine dining experiences that are apart of the all-inclusive resort. A couple of them do require reservations and are considered more of a formal place to enjoy a nice dinner. For our formal dinner we decided on The Venetian.
The Venetian:
Discover Northern Italian Fare. Named after the northern Italian city of Venice, guests will find traditional Italian favorites and an inviting, family-friendly environment at The Venetian. Grilled meats, fresh seafood, succulent pastas, and authentic Venetian risotto are served at this beautiful eatery with expansive views of Negril’s famed white sand beach and pristine waterscape. The old world décor featuring dark wood accents, stunning candelabra, and crystal chandelier evokes the feel of an old Venetian palazzo dining room.

The Venetian was fantastic. We both love fresh Italian food which is exactly what we got. The soft piano music adds so much to this great dining experience. We started our meal with a fresh Caprese dish – no basil but it was still incredible.
I decided on the Pollo Parmigiana with pasta that was so good. It does help that the chef is from Italy! I wish we did two nights at this restaurant because I wanted to try more dishes.
When visiting The Venetian you must try their signature cocktail called The Italian Kiss. WOW! Dessert and drinks in one glass. I was so excited to try this cocktail because the #BeachesMoms were talking about this one for days. It was worth the wait. Frangelico, amaretto, cream and a sugar rimmed glass. Very pretty drink to enjoy after a great meal.
When you visit The Venetian make sure you order your dessert when ordering your dinner as well. These mini doughnuts are to die for and they run out of them almost every night. So, get your order in quick. The best part about enjoying a meal like this kid free was that we were able to eat at a slower pace and really enjoy the experience and company of each other.
Now, when you travel to Beaches keep in mind it is all-inclusive, this means you can enjoy two (or three) desserts guilt free. I give you permission. After our great meal at The Venetian we walked around the resort just enjoying the nice ocean breeze and evening activities. While we were walking around we found ourselves at Cafe de Paris…oh darn. Lucky for us, Cafe de Paris serves ice cream all day long. Jeremy’s favorite ice cream was the Rum Raisin – he may have had a couple servings a day. Ha! So, we decided to enjoy a nice ice cream night cap before calling it a night.
The view after our Venetian dinner….breathtaking!
While on vacation make time for Date Night. It is a great way to reconnect, slow down and enjoy one another while relaxing in paradise. So thankful for this time and cannot wait until our next kid free excursion.
Sounds like you had an amazing date day. I really envy you. But since you have given me date goals, I am going to try this!
Having been married for almost 44 years (and with our youngest being 25), you'd think that we would have done something like this by now. Sadly we haven't. We have so many kids and grandkids, our time off is spent visiting family. Maybe a trip like this can be planned for our 45th wedding anniversary!
No, this is something my other half have not had the chance to do since we have been together. We are planning on getting away either this year or next, and Beaches Negril sounds like a great place to go! The glass boat tour would be fascinating, and the food and the Venetian looked fabulous!
Aww! It looks like you two love birds had a wonderful time. I would SO appreciate a date-night with my hubby… especially at a Beaches resort! Also, a trip to Jamaica wouldn't be a bad idea!
I have always wanted to ride one of those glass bottomed boats. This date time sounds wonderful, and you were definitely in a wonderful location for it. I would love a date night with my hubby soon!
Ok your pictures from the Venetian and the Cafe de Paris got me. I will be just sitting by the ice cream and eating it all day long. Glad you guys had so much fun!
What a great trip! It is so important to reconnect with your spouse with some one on one time. We are going on vacation to Florida with my husband's family this year — his brother, sister and their families and his parents. I'm really hoping to take advantage of all of the available adults and sneak away on a date night with my hubby!
Sure beats the date night I just had this weekend, lol! This looks like such an amazing trip! Next year I'm going somewhere warm on March Break!
I absolutely love that the resort is all inclusive! I have always wanted to go to Jamaica and it would make it that much better to have an all inclusive resort! This is on my bucket list for sure!
Great post. I completely agree with the importance of date nights. I have been with my guy for 5 years now and we still get dressed up and get out of the house. You're date night looked so romantic and relaxing. The boat ride sounds amazing and that italian kiss cocktail. My kind of drink.
