Spring is a great time of the year but I think the best part is the Easter holiday.  It gives us time to come together as a family, get dressed up, have some fun coloring eggs, and enjoy a nice lunch together.  Easter has always been my favorite holiday, I really enjoy heading to church with my family and feeling that new burst of energy of the new season.  I hope that the Colorado weather decides to be sunny on Easter this year.  Fingers crossed!

We have a few traditions in my family and one of those is having a family lunch and hunting for Easter eggs.  We are just a few weeks away from the big day so I started thinking about what should be on the menu.  Over the years I have done some of the dessert prep but this year I am going about it a bit differently.

Instead of worrying about the meal prep and dessert prep I will be heading to Walmart to pick up our favorite Marie Callender’s® Cream Pies.  My favorite is the Banana Cream Pie, it is the perfect spring dessert in my opinion.  Now, for the chocolate lovers in my family we always have a Marie Callender’s® Chocolate Satin Pie on hand too.  Yum!

Marie Callender’s® Cream Pies are the perfect Easter dessert.  They are always affordable and super delicious. Marie Callender’s knows how to keep with traditions by making sure the traditional flavors of cream pies are available.  Now, on a busy holiday it can be hard to get every thing on the table for the meal but thankfully these pies are so convenient when it comes to preparation.

Now that my kids are older these holidays are becoming a lot more fun.  They are always wanting to be in the kitchen to help with the food prep but there are certain meal that we really do not need their help.  Easter would be one of those meals.  This year I decided to come up with a craft that the kids could do while the adults focused on getting the meal on the table.

This super easy Easter Placemat craft is the perfect distraction for kids of all ages.  The best part?  Once the placemats are created, the kids can use them for the Easter meal!

Jude and Teagan’s finished products!  So cute!  This was a great project for both of them.  I am thinking we might make this an every holiday craft.  It has been fun having our Easter placemats on the kitchen table.

These placemats are great for kids because you can let them eat dinner on them and you can clean them with out ruining their art!  Love that!

I know that on Easter Sunday when we get the contact paper out for the kids to make their special Easter placemat they will be so excited again!

How are you planning to add a little fun to your Easter table this year?

The idea is wonderful to engage kids in a fun and intellectual activity. It will bring out the creativity of the children. I loved how easy this is to make and it also looks adorable.

Now I really want pie! I haven't had one of those Marie Callendar's pies in ages. I'm not sure what flavor that I would get first if I had one. The placemats are very cute, too. I know the kiddos had fun creating them.

That is an adorable Easter craft (so are your kids!). My kids love creating holiday crafts, this would be a great way to mark out place seating at Easter breakfast!

Oh, I love these. How very cute, and clever. I'm not crafty at all, so I never would have thought of doing something like this. How fun!
