I’m sharing Teddy Soft Bakes in my life as part of a sponsored series for Socialstars™” #myfirstTeddy #discoverTeddy
Park days are probably our very favorite low cost family activity ever. We are incredibly blessed to live in walking distance of 2 huge parks that are rarely overpopulated which means the kids usually have the place to themselves. So fun. To prepare for our seasonal trips to the park (YAY Spring!) I always keep a park bag ready to grab so we can run out the door whenever we have time. Even though our kids have been at these parks many times, the first park trip of the season is always like the first park trip EVER for the kids. FREEDOM from the winter cold!!
Tips On Having a Great Family Day At The Park:
5. Bring a few outdoor games. Sure the park has a playground but to extend the fun, pack other outdoor activities. Good examples: a kite, sidewalk chalk, a football, a Frisbee and bubbles!
6. Tell the kids ahead of time how long you’ll be staying. Telling the kids it is time to go home is the worst part of a day at the park. Kids are so smart, give them the amount of time they will be able to play and make sure you give a countdown warning of when it is getting close to having to head home. This will, hopefully, help not have any meltdowns.

I love taking my kiddos out when the weather allows us to. It is so important to take some snacks along with us as well. My kids love eating the Teddy Soft Bakes!
Number 6 is DEFINITELY our downfall!! Telling my kids AHEAD of time how long we will stay at the park and WHEN we will be leaving is a meltdown waiting to happen!!! I have to "prep" them in the car before hand hope that they remember…usually it still ends up in "Mom! your the bad guy!" Great tips and post!
ALWAYS pack snacks! Ha ha. I used to live in CO 🙂 We moved to Idaho and I haven't explored enough to find the parks yet. I really need to.
We enjoy going to the parks! Living in the Sunshine State, we're blessed with good outdoor weather for the most part to enjoy all the great parks near us.

We love spending time at the park. We're lucky enough to have a nice one only a block away from our house, so we take the kids there often. Snacks are a must too.
My son always loved teddy crackers. These are a good addition to their line! I agree with you on setting time limits. It's good for them to know the expected time, or number of times you're doing something. (3 times on each, etc.)
Great tips. It definitely feel like spring now. Whether is nice. We will go to the park more often. I am so looking forward to it. Those teddy soft bakes seem very delicious and are ideal for outdoor snacks.
Wow! Those kids really look cute and adorable. I love all the tips you gave. I love your happy family and the memories you have been making will be always be cherished.
We never know what we are going to get for Spring Break in Southern Missouri, either! Sometimes its snow and sometimes it actually feels like spring. I love taking the kids to the park and letting them get out their energy! Snacks are a definitely must with my crew!
