A few weeks ago, I sat in a movie theater with a group of women for a special Girls Night Out event and the sponsors shared a preview of the new Wonder Woman movie. I wish I had a recording of the reactions of those woman as we watched this preview; it was pretty powerful. Strong women love cheering on other strong women so the reactions were powerful and positive. After seeing that preview with a theater full of other women I am pretty pumped for that new release. I guarantee my ladies and I will make another Girls Night Out trip on June 2nd when the movie hits theaters!

Red, Blue & Yellow Ice Cream Cone Popcorn Balls
Free Printable Recipe here.
Ingredients:
2 bags Orville Redenbacher’s® Butter Popcorn – popped
8 cups marshmallows
1/4 cup butter
Ice Cream cones
Red and Blue candies
Yellow sprinkles
Directions:
1. In a large sauce pan, melt butter over medium heat.
2. Once butter is melted, add in marshmallows. Keep on medium heat, stir while marshmallows are melting.
3. Pop the bags of popcorn, pour into a large bowl. Make sure you remove all unpopped kernels from bowl.
4. Prepare candy and sprinkles by pouring them into a bowl.
5. Have ice cream cones out of the wrappers and ready to use.
6. Once the marshmallows are melted and combined with the melted butter, pour the mixture over your popped popcorn.
7. Stir popcorn with a spatula making sure the marshmallow mixture covers the popcorn completely.
8. Begin making your popcorn balls by scooping a handful of the popcorn in your hands and forming it into a ball. Spraying your hands with cooking spray might make this easier.
9. Carefully stuff the popcorn into the cones.
10. Dip the popcorn balls into the candy and sprinkles for some decorations!
11. Keep popcorn balls steady while they harden a bit.
12. Serve to your guests and enjoy!
I love making popcorn balls like this because they do not get too hard. They do harden a bit but they do not hurt your teeth when you are eating them. Great for kids! Adding the sugar ice cream cone is a great addition for a fun movie snack.
Make sure you check out the limited time Dr Pepper and Orville Redenbacher’s Wonder Woman packaging while visiting King Soopers.
I am not sure why but the story of Wonder Woman has so much inspiration to me. It always makes me think about who my real life Wonder Woman is. Without hesitation my Wonder Woman is my mother. Sure, a lot of people would say this but I truly believe my mom is a Wonder Woman. She is strong, independent, caring, and such a protector. She has always had these qualities, but now that I see her not only as a woman and mother, but as a grandmother I am certain she has super hero powers.

Who is your real life hero?
Those popcorn balls look cute and delicious. I'm not a fan of Wonder Woman but I'm also psyched to watch the upcoming movie. My life hero is my mom. She's also like a wonder woman to me. 🙂
I am so absolutely excited to see wonder woman. I absolutely love her and her strength/courage. I am also loving those little treats you made. They look delicious
Those popcorn balls look awesome! I'm so excited for this movie, and I know my mom is super excited because Wonder Woman is her favourite!
How sweet that you celebrated all of the Wonder Women in your life! Your popcorn balls made me smile. They remind me of my grandmother. She and I made them all of the time when I was growing up
I guess Dr. Pepper will always be my #1 addiction. As far as the Red, Blue & Yellow Ice Cream Cone Popcorn Balls, I know my little guy will enjoy them. It will be a fun afternoon spent making them, then eating them.
I grew up absolutely adoring Wonder Woman – my mom had to make me little cuffs to wear like hers in the old episodes! Those popcorn balls look so good too – I've never made them but I know my boys would like me to!
I didn't know there was a Wonder Woman movie coming out! I'll definitely have to look out for it as she's Oscar's heroine. I'd never heard of popcorn balls either, but they look delicious 🙂
I am so excited for the upcoming Wonder Woman movie. I grew up watching the Wonder Woman TV show and was so inspired by her strength. My girls and I will definitely be planning a movie night for this movie.
These look so delicious! I love the salty sweet combo, so I know these would be a huge hit for me and my family! We always enjoy having a family movie night with a few treats!
I am really looking forward to this movie coming out. The previews looked incredible. I can definitely see me making these popcorn treats for my students at the end of the school year for our movie day.
For starters, I really want to see Wonder Woman, and I think they did a great job casting the lead. I think your popcorn ball ice cream cones are not only a fun treat to make, but fun to eat. I love the way they look…you can really impress guests with these.
