We love making French Toast for breakfast.  I few weeks ago I tried a new recipe using the same egg mixture that I always do but instead of using French bread or Texas Toast I used pound cake!  YES, pound cake!  It was so amazing!  And just like “normal” French Toast it was a super easy meal to create! I might never enjoy French toast any other way.

6.  Each side should cook for at least 4 minutes or until golden brown.
7.  Serve warm and topped with whipped cream and strawberries.  In my opinion, no syrup is needed!
This recipe makes a good amount of French toast and it does reheat pretty well so it really is a great brunch recipe that would feed a crowd.
You could also mix up this recipe a bit by trying other toppings like blueberries or even some sliced bananas.  Enjoy!!

This looks so good and so easy! I am definitely going to have to try this as it's been a very long time since I've had French toast, but never even thought about using pound cake! I am pretty sure I would love this version, better!

I cannot believe that I have never thought of combining these two great things before. I love a good pound cake, especially this recipe here looks great. Then turning them into french toast and topping them with strawberries? Yum!!

This recipe look fabulous! You had me with your title. This is such an amazing combination. I would keep it as it is. How can you go wrong with strawberries?! I would try peaches, blueberries or raspberries for other members in my family, but I would be Team Strawberries for this dish!

This is being made ASAP!! I haven't had french toast in FOREVER. My son likes those frozen sticks/bites and they make me want to throw up. Ever since they came around, I have't had french toast. HAHA. However, this looks like it is melt in your mouth amazing!!!! I know my boyfriend would love this!

Every Sunday my husband makes us breakfast in bed. His specialty? French toast and it's the best I've ever had. I can't imagine how decadent it would be made from pound cake. Be still my heart!

I LOVE pound cake!! It's actually been ages since I've eaten it. I love the idea of making it into french toast.
