We took our first pool plunge of the season at a neighborhood pool we had been dying to try a few weeks ago.  I am really sad we waited this long to visit The Bay Aquatic Park in Broomfield Colorado because WOW, we will most certainly be visiting again soon!

The Bay is located in Broomfield Colorado, about 20 minutes north of Denver.  I would consider The Bay a mini Waterworld that is perfect for all ages.   This is a city run outdoor aquatic center that has so many water features and slides.  Best of all, it is budget priced and super clean!

This large recreation space has two large body slides, a leisure pool with gradual-depth entry, an interactive water-play playground, an inner-tube slide, otter slides, a large splash pad and a separate toddler pool with a waterfall and small slide.  The day we went the water was quite cold, I am hoping that as the season moves along the water will warm up a bit.

We were quite surprised that you could bring in your own food and drink – no glass.  Next time we will plan a little better and bring our lunch and snacks with us.  There is a small snack bar with “fair like” food, drinks and treats.  Actually very well priced as well.

We arrived a bit too late to get a shady spot with tables and lounge chairs so keep that in mind.  There are a lot of grassy areas but those do fill up fast.  Go early and scope out your landing area before the crowds hit!

Teagan was able to ride all of the slides with Jeremy.  She felt so big and accomplished.  Also, Jude, who does not know how to swim well yet, was able to go on the slides alone and end up in the pool that he could touch the bottom of the pool! Such a great family day!

Pool Information:
Hours:
10am – 6pm Daily
Admit Fees:

Resident Fees

3 years and younger FREE with paying adult
4 – 17 years $5.00
18 – 59 years $5.00
60 years and older $5.00
Non-Resident Fees
3 years and younger FREE with paying adult
4 – 17 years $7.00
18 – 59 years $9.00
60 years and older $7.00
FYI – At 2pm every day, they clear all pools for a 20-minute safety check. Adults older than 18 are allowed to swim in the main pool during this time. The slides and tot pool are closed during this break. At this time they perform safety checks on the pool and equipment and perform shift rotations.
We had a great time visiting The Bay.  I cannot even estimate the amount of times the kids did the slides.  So fun!  Hoping to visit again soon.

My family enjoys water parks as much, if not more, than amusement parks. I think the 20 minute drive outside of Denver will be worth the extra miles when we decide to visit Denver again. I can't wait to tell my hubby about this newly discovered fun place.

Look like a very nice park to visit. My kids and I love our local pool park and we visit every year! I like that the Bay fee is very reasonable too!

This looks like a ton of fun! I have not been to a waterpark in years. I would definitely visit here the next time I am out west! The last waterpark I was at was in Disney World- Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon. I can spend the entire day there!

That water slide looks like so much fun! We have a city-run pool that has a few slides, but nothing that cool. We do have a lot of water parks around, though. It looks like everyone had a great day!
