Meet Sundae, she is our youngest cat and goodness she has some character. It is no surprise that we love our two cats so much and treat them as part of the family or that we want them happy! Sundae might be the younger cat in our family but she has certainly tried to be the boss. This crazy lady pushes her luck with our older cat, Sophie. I think deep down they love each other though, in fact we have caught them cuddling once! ONCE! Ha! These cats bring us such joy!
Just like we want to give our kids the best we want to do the same for our cats. When we started feeding Sundae the Meow Mix Bistro Recipes Dry Food we knew she loved it. I always try to pick up Sophie and Sundae’s food when I go to Walmart. Both of our cats love the dry food but the wet food is a special treat. Thankfully, all of the Meow Mix products are made with wholesome ingredients and irresistible taste. Again, we want the best for our lady, Sundae!
For those daily treats, because cats love treats, we make sure to keep the Meow Mix Brushing Bites Treats on hand. We have tried many different types of treats over the years of owning cats but these are by far a favorite of the cats.
My kids love to help feed and take care of both Sophie and Sundae so we like to find ways they can really be a part of the cats’ lives. They both love to give the cats treats because of how the cats act when they see the treats coming out of the cabinet for them. The cats meow, purr, follow them, and nudge their legs. It is so cute and the kids love the extra attention from the cats.
My kids had a hard time getting the resealable bag of treats resealed so I decided to create the perfect cat treat jar that was also kid friendly! This is a really easy tutorial that will have your cats treats nice and fresh and allow your kids to be able to easily give the cats a treat when directed by parents.
Create the Perfect Cat Treat Jar
Materials Needed:
Small glass jar with flip lid and metal closure
Letter stickers
Paw print stickers
Meow Mix Treats
Directions:
1. Wash and dry the glass container.
2. Carefully add the letter stickers to one side of the treat jar.
3. Add some extra decorative paw stickers to the jar.
4. Carefully pour the treats into the jar and close the jar for freshness.
Told you, it is super easy! But with the addition of the stickers this is a really fun treat jar for your special cats. My kids love the jar and I love that the jar keeps the treats fresh.
Sundae approves!! Now, when we let the kids give Sophie and Sundae a treat we always supervise to make sure they do not give them too many treats at one time.

Feeding Sundae Meow Mix allows me to give her great food and treats. I love the cuddles I get after dinner time. Happy purr-ful cat!!
How do you make sure your cats are happy?
What a gorgeous kitty! She looks almost exactly like the one I had as a little girl! Our cat is a huge fan of all Meow Mix products – especially the treats! I love your idea for that treat jar! Now she won't be able to try to get to the package and attempt to tear it open!
I have two cats and they love their Meow Mix Bistro Recipes Dry Food. I need to make them this cool treat jar. I have them trained to do tricks for treats. I love the name Sundae for a cat. I found it so hard to settle on names for my cats.
What a gorgeous kitty!! I'm hoping to get a kitty soon so this post is very timely!! I love how simple, yet beautiful that treat jar is! I think that would be a great project for the kids to make! Thanks for the info on the food! I need all the help I can get
You have such a beautiful kitty! Our sparkles love the Meow Mix Bistro Treats, I think she's a little spoil on them actually…lol!! I need to show my daughter how to make this cute treat jar also!!
I love that your cat is named Sundae…that's so cute! And it looks like she loves her new treat jar. We're more dog people around here, but I bet I could create a fun jar like this for our puppers! The stickers you used are so fun. And thanks for sharing that great deal on the treats and food!
I love the cat's name. So cute!! I think any cat would love that meal. This seems like a really good brand too. Lots of options and healthy ingredients too.
You always see these cute objects in stores, and people actually pay good money for them. How easy is this to make as a DIY project!?!
This treat jar is a really cute idea. I don't have a cat but would love to make one of these for my daughters cat Ellie.
Our cat Jake loves his treats. This little jar you created makes a nice storage container for cat treats. We have several types of treats we give the cat so you'd be able to mix them up and give them some variety too. Good idea!
Did you borrow my cat for this? (Mine looks just like yours.) I can see my cat trying to pry her way into the jar. I will still make her one, of course.

This looks like a fun project that I could do with my daughter. She would love decorating the jar only she probably would do it more ornately. Then again we would be making it for our dog Oreo instead of a cat but I think this would work just as well.
This is a cute concept. I never owned cat before but I am sure they deserve treats like we do. Great way to make them their own jar.
