DINOS!  Live at Denver Zoo

Last week we had the honor of attending a sneak peek of the newest exhibit and event at the Denver Zoo called DINOS! Live!  We were invited to attend after the normal zoo hours which made this experience even more fun.  The zoo felt empty and the kids loved running around, also the animals were our more because it was a lot cooler in the evening.  Very fun for the kids.

As we started walking around the zoo we were met by the 21 dinosaurs scattered through out the Denver Zoo. These dinosaurs moved and made dino noises. At first, Teagan was a bit scared but once she saw they were just “models” we moved along through the zoo trying to find all of these new guys!!

If you attend, I suggest finding these scary dinos, especially if it is a HOT day.  They might refresh you a bit.

Each dinosaur is carefully created.  The colors and textures are pretty amazing and really fun to look at.  The kids are already asking to go again to the Zoo to see the dinosaurs.  ha!  Funny!!

At each dinosaur there was a plaque showing information about the dinosaur and comparing it to an animal in the zoo.  The similarities are very interesting.  It was an educational evening with the whole family.

I am not a bird fan…at all.  When we came up to Bird World this guy scared the crap out of me!  I really cannot imagine seeing this creature in real life walking among us!  ha!!  Wow!  Of course Jude loved this one!

One thing we learned while talking with the Zoo staff was that there is a mobile app for the Denver Zoo that not only lists all of the animals, places to eat and restrooms but also all of the DINOS!  It was kind of fun to see a made of lions, tigers and DINOS!  OH MY! During the DINOS! Live exhibit, if you click on the individual dinosaur it gives some information on that particular dinosaur.  It allowed Jude to read the information to us as we explored the prehistoric exhibit.
Even though I am a Denver native, with all of the updates at the zoo I often forget where each of the animals are located so I am excited to use this Zoo app from now on.

Selfie photobomb at its finest!  Ha!  Never thought I would have a moving dinosaur in my selfie!

This long neck creature is not the normal long necked animal in the zoo. When we walked up to this brachiosaurus it made all of us feel tiny. While the kids loved the T-Rex and Bird Dino, this one might be my favorite. I think just looking at the brachiosaurus made it so crazy to think that these creatures walked our earth at one time.

Toyota put on a great sneak peek and both Jude and Teagan wanted to know how we get a car with Dinosaurs on it!  ha!  It was really fun to look in this car, the Toyota Rav4, because Jeremy’s parents just bought this exact car.  Super nice.   We are looking forward to working more with Toyota in the future.  Thanks for hosting us Toyota and the Denver Zoo!

I love it when parks feature a Dino exposition. This one seems really cool – especially with the 21 dinosaurs they've decided to feature. I know plenty of families that would appreciate this!

This looks like a super fun addition to the zoo. The Detroit Zoo and Cedar Point have also done something similar and I think it is a fun experience.

Visiting a zoo which has dinosaurs is fun not only for kids because then we get to see how dinosaurs look and wonder if they've really existed in the past. Do they have sound effects? We visited a zoo in Guangzhou, China before and saw similar dinos that made sounds so we felt as if they were real.

My kids would go crazy to see the Dino exposition, they are fascinated by dinosaurs. What an exciting experience, so cool you were able to attend after normal zoo hours. Your pictures are PRICELESS!!

I would've seriously enjoyed that exhibit even without my kids. I had to giggle when you said your baby girl was a tad afraid. I've been there with having to give the "They are not real!" pep talk.

Sounds like so much fun. How cool that you had exclusive access and that the kids got to enjoy it the way that they did. My nephew's would love this.

I haven't been to the Denver Zoo in such a long time, but remember it's a really good one. This exhibit is extraordinary! The dinosaurs are huge and they'e paid so much attention to their detail. What a fun thing for kids (of all ages!) x
