Summertime means S’mores! At least in our family! We enjoy S’mores in the backyard on the fire pit and when we travel to our cabin up in the mountains. No matter the time we LOVE S’mores. I have created a number of super yummy S’mores inspired desserts over the years but I just had to try one more before the summer came to an end.
Mini S’mores Hand Pies
Ingredients:
Mini marshmallows
Graham crackers
Refrigerated pie crusts
Cooking Spray
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees and prepare large baking sheet with cooking spray.
2. Roll out each pie crust and cut out 12 “pies” on each crust. I used a flower shaped cookie cutter to do this. You should end up with 24 cut outs.
3. Place 12 cut outs on the baking sheet.
4. Place a small piece of a graham cracker, one section of chocolate and 4 mini marshmallows on each cut out.
5. Place another piece of pie crust cut out on top of the fillings.
6. Carefully pinch the sides of each pie sealing up the S’more filling.
7. Spray each pie with cooking spray.
8. Bake for 8-10 minutes. Serve warm and ENJOY!
These little mini pies are so good and really easy to make. Probably the hardest part is sealing the filling in between each pie. Yum! They are the perfect size for a nice treat.
Next time I make these I will be adding a few more marshmallows to the filling. I have also seen people put paper candy sticks inside these to create S’mores pops. Another fun idea. The desserts inspired by S’mores are pretty much endless and always delicious!
What a genius idea! I bet they are warm and gooey with a nice little graham bite and that shape is cute too.
Oh wow, I am absolutely going to make those! They look crazy easy. I think the hardest part for me would be sharing them! As far as my favorite s'mores snack goes, I love coffee drinks made with s'mores ingredients!
Wow! Those are the most creative looking smores I've ever seen! I'm not a smores fan but this looks great! I've got a sweet tooth now!
S'mores always say summer to me, and I'm loving these cute little treats. It's fun that they're sandwiched between dough, a yummy surprise just waiting to be had. I'm going to give these a try with my grandson, I know he'd love them. x
You never go wrong with s'mores but this recipe it is a win-win, because it is easy to make, yummy and less messy that normal s'mores. I need to make this for our party this weekend
I've really been trying my hand at well, hand pies. (Okay, excuse the pun!) The crust you've made looks absolutely delicious! Must definitely try.
Ok, you had me at S'mores! I love this idea for making them since it could not be easier. With the refrigerated pie crust, I bet these are so flaky and buttery. I found normal S'mores pretty messy so I love the idea of having it contained in this pie.
Oh goodness, those look really good. I'm definitely going to have to try the recipe soon.
These Mini S'mores Hand Pies look super yummy! The family would love these.
