I have always loved Back To School shopping and this year while we were out tackling the back to school supply lists with the kids I decided to pick up a few of my favorite must have back to school items for mom!  Yes, moms need back to school supplies too!

Since the kids are getting older we are having more and more after school and during school activities that result in us forgetting more and more.  Ugh, forgetting dance shoes on dance day is so frustrating!  Just like with every new season, I am creating new goals for me and our family.

Moms Back to School Goals

My number one goal is to be more on top of things as a family.  No more running around to the store or back home just because we forget it is the day Jude is attending his little medical school classes after school.
Goal number two is having the whole family, kids included, take more responsibility in preparing for the day before we leave the house.
Goal number three, less stress during our busy back to school season.
Goal number four is focused on the kids.  I want to surprise them with little notes and inspiration through out the school year.
See my inspiration for these back to school goals here –
Okay, now it is time to show you how I plan on keeping my mom goals this back to school season.  Like I said, during our normal back to school shopping excursion I picked up some of my own supplies.  I have always loved using the Post-it® Brand but even more now that they come in so many different shapes, sizes, colors and even with lines!  Literally a Post-it® Brand item for every need! And another very important “Mom School Supply” item is Scotch® Magic™ Tape – there is no other brand for this mom.
I have always felt like writing reminders and goals down help me keep it all together as well as keeping me accountable! Did you know that written Goals are 42% more likely to to stick?*  I totally believe it and I hope that by writing our goals, to-dos and special encouragements we will have an even more successful back to school season!!

I picked up some of the Post-it® Super Sticky Notes in the 3×3 size.  I decided to get a few different colors to just give a little more spice to my daily reminders.
I wrote the days of the school week on a Post-it® and placed them on the front door.  This area is perfect for the whole family, this is the door that we leave through every morning.  No one has an excuse to miss something!

The best part about this plan is that these Post-it® Super Sticky Notes are really that…super sticky!  These are not going to fall off in one day.  This plan will last the week if not longer!
Once I placed the days of the week on the door, I made additional notes about what not to forget or what to plan for on Post-it®.  To make this process a little faster, I used the Post-it® notes from the Post-it® Pop-up Notes Dispenser!  This was a good purchase, it is so convenient while I am standing at the door planning out our week.  As you can see I included after school reminders as well as during school reminders.  Again, this is a great way to make sure the whole family is involved in our goals this back to school season!

Now for the fun part!!  I bought these great colorful Post-it® Brand items to make sure the kids see how proud we are of them every morning but also give them some inspiration and encouragement.  Let’s be honest parents, kids have a lot to deal with at school.  Bullying, high expectations, fitting in, etc – they are exhausted and a simple “I love you” or “Good luck on your test” note will do wonders this school year!!

Like I said, this is a huge goal for me as mom this school year.  I look forward to coming up with great little messages for both Jude and Teagan.

I love that the lined Post-it® Super Sticky Notes come in larger size – 4×6.  Jude is really able to read with no issues but being able to write a bit bigger on these encouraging notes makes it a lot easier for Jude to read.  Plus the colors are so fun for the kids!  They are bright and catch their attention easily!

When writing my encouraging notes to the kids I am going to make sure to use their names, this gives them even more courage and excitement when they see their notes.  I am hoping that after a while they will begin to search the house in the morning for their notes.  As we begin the school year, the notes will start in their bedrooms and bathroom.  Once we are in a routine, it can become more of a game for us to surprise the kids with these notes!

I am excited to see how we do on my back to school goals with the help of Post-it® Brand and Scotch® Brand products.  Our home will be filled with colorful encouraging and fun notes!  And hopefully less stress!!

Now it is time for you to put your goals and the things you want remember right in your face by simply using Post-it® products. You can find all of these great items at Walmart in the Back to School school supply aisles.

I'm childfree so back to school is business as usual for me. But my sister has four munchkins and she's already very busy sorting them out for back to school at the end of August. I don't envy her one bit!

Keeping track of everything gets very hectic. I try to keep an online calendar, but I can’t always remember adding events in. I recently just bought a paper planner to help with my note taking skills.

I'm a big fan of Post-it Notes, even though I have a calendar on hand. I try to keep us all organized, but some day's its very hard especially during school time.

I love the idea of using these as encouraging notes. You’ve found some cool ideas to use the post it notes for. This idea is great for little kids and get them into a routine.

I know it is hetic for plenty of parents for back to school season so this would help. The Post-Its are bright and colorful to assist in reminding you to do things. Also it is good to put positive affirmations for self and even the kids as extra motivation for the new school year too!

I absolutely love Post-it notes and use them constantly. I love the idea of putting the notes on the door that what you can't miss the reminders. I love the notes on the bathroom mirror for the kids. Lots of love in your house.

I love Post-it Notes. I actually have to pick some up for my son this year. I only have one little one so keep tracking isn't too hard for me, but I have to say I am totally down with the inspirational notes. It's a great way to life their spirits.

This is it! Post-it notes are so good for the reminders – I really need to use them all, but I feel I get lost trying to coordinate everything at the same time. I could totally do this and do it in kids rooms. However, I gotta make sure they are high enough from the toddler

I hear ya! I think it's the relaxed state we're in with not having to think about the added school stuff. I love the idea with the post-its but what do you do when there are guests? I love the different styles and colors too!

My sister and my nephew are on odds now that the school year has started again haha. This post-it tip is a really good advice to give. It surely helps! I'll be sharing this with my sister to remind her 😉
