Every end of the school year I make some little thank you gifts for each of the kids teachers, this year I decided to start the year off with a small Back to School gift for them as well. Growing up I saw the struggles of teachers, both of my parents were teachers. So, I know how much these useful thank you gifts really mean to those amazing people that are molding our children’s futures.
I decided to do a little gift basket with some useful goodies and a fun printable that made this gift super easy to duplicate for each teacher. This gift basket idea can easily be modified and filled with other trinkets and items for your children’s teachers.
Back To School Teacher Gift – Learning Is Messy!
I was recently asked by Wet Ones® Hand Wipes to create some unique tips for using their products and these products fit perfectly into my back to school teacher gift idea. I am so excited to share these products with you and show you how to incorporate them into an easy DIY gift.
You can find great savings on Wet Ones® with this Ibotta offer.
Alright, parents what do you see on these packages of Wet Ones®? Shrek and Optimus Prime from two of Universal Orlando Resort’s hit attractions Shrek 4-D and Transformer™: The Ride-3D! YES! When I opened my sample I was so excited to see these Specially Marked Wet Ones® canisters and travel packs which include a sweepstakes for the chance to win a trip to experience these rides for yourself at Universal Orlando Resort™! What a fun way to start the Back to School season!
And now onto the Back to School tutorial. I loved the idea of talking about messy hands for this gift. Even as a 1st grader, I know Jude will have messy hands at school and I am totally okay with that. Learning is absolutely messy – hands on learning is the best and sometimes, you have to get your hands dirty! The printable I created says, “Learning Is Messy. Here’s To A Clean New School Year!” This is a great printable. Funny but also letting the teachers know we are excited for the new year!
Materials Needed:
Free “Learning is Messy” printable
Twine, ribbon or string
Chocolates
Scissors
Wet Ones® Hand Wipes canister and a travel pack
Medium basket
Optional – pens, notepads, other useful items for teachers
Directions:
1. Print out the printable and place a small hole in the corner of the printable.
2. Place the twine through the hole in the printable.
3. Pack the gift basket with the goodies for your teacher.
4. Tie the printable to the front of the basket.
All done and so cute!! Silly easy but a great way to show a little back to school appreciation to teachers.
The reason I feel like including Wet Ones® Hand Wipes is because we also use a ton of these wipes at home and they work great for messy hands. I am that mom, I literally have these hand wipes with me all the time; in my purse, in my car, in the kid’s backpacks, etc.
I love them for many reasons but probably the most important one for me is that they are sensitive on my kids’ hands. They are Hypoallergenic which means they are easy on these little hands. Wet Ones® Antibacterial Hand Wipes clean up messy hands and kill 99.99% of germs plus they bring parents a convenient 2-in-1 way to wipe out dirt and messes when water isn’t available! Think of all the places you wish you had soap and water to wash those dirty hands!
Now that you have seen the specially marked Wet Ones® you must be wondering why are these fun characters on the labels now? Well, lucky for us there is a fun “Wish I had a Trip to Universal Orlando” Sweepstakes that is sponsored by Wet Ones®.

That is a wonderful gift basket for teachers. When the year started I already bought her a whole bunch of Wet ones! They deserve a medal for everything they do for our kids.
They are perfect for quick fix messes! Wet Ones have been a part of my home for years and I love them! Keep them in my car too 🙂
This is such a great idea! Teachers always need wipes! Not only for their hands, but for the kiddos to wipe down their desks.
Thermos insulated mug it's always a great gift to include any teacher box and also some grab and go low calorie sugar-free snacks. Often times teachers barely have enough time to eat their lunch to the interruptions from students parents and other teachers
I don't can't believe that its back to school already, the summer holidays are already over. These wipes are definitely a must have for everyone especially teachers
What a great back to school teacher gift! I would like to have one of these for myself 🙂
We get so caught up with getting the kids ready we tend to forget about the teachers! This is great. I'm sure the teachers will appreciate it 🙂
I am also a teacher and I appreciate your ideas. I will apply and hope it will be effective for my work.
