A few weeks ago I shared a Jambalaya recipe that turned out pretty amazing and a must try for anyone wanting a one skillet meal option that the whole family will enjoy!  Now, if you are going to make this recipe or any other recipe that calls for Creole Seasoning, you need to try this super easy Creole Seasoning recipe that I have used for years.

You can buy packaged Creole Seasoning as well be chances are you have all of the spices needed to make your own! This recipe I am sharing is what I throw together for recipes like my Jambalaya, you could totally make a large batch of this but I make it fresh every time I need it.

Thanks! I love the idea of making my own seasoning for certain meals. This is great! I also really like jambalaya.

I also have to state that I like Jambulaya with different meats. Definitely shrimp, but sausage, ham, pork of any kind and the spicier the better, usually. 😉

Mmm! That sounds awesome! I LOVE "make your own" stuff because YOU get to control all the ingredients. Typically when I see these spice combos at the store, they have sugar in them too and I always wonder WHYYYYYY!?!

I make my own seasoning for several Mexican recipes. Homemade seasonings are always the best. I like that I can customize them to taste for me and my family. I will have to give yours a try.

I always make my own seasoning for recipes like this one. I have a huge array of spices and herbs to choose from, so I normally always have whatever I need on hand. Google can be a best friend too, when needing to create your own spice mix, like recently it was Greek seasoning.

My sister makes her own Creole seasoning too, sometimes it has been sooo spicy I couldn't enjoy it! She like hot and spicy food. Actually she just mad some for Labor day, she made a big pot of Jambalaya. I may try it, just make sure its not to spicy!

This sounds really interesting. Easy to make for sure, but I have never made any Jambalaya. It might be time to start cooking different foods and I might start with some southern flavors. It does look delicious. I do love spicy food, so this is perfect.

I love making my fried chicken seasoning, it is so much fun because I get to throw so many different things in one mix. I don't know why that is my thrill in life but it is, I just love cooking. I have to try this one out as well, thanks for sharing! IT looks great!

This is so mouthwatering I have all the ingredients in my kitchen and not sure what meal I can make for dinner. Now you gave me an idea what to make tonight. For sure my family would love this esp. now that its getting cold outside.

I love creole and this seasoning has so many uses! Having family from down south means that I have a real taste for spices and Louisiana style home cooking <3 Yum!

This looks amazing, and so smart. Why pay more when you have all those things in your pantry. My husband loves creole so this is perfect for us.

One of my favorite ways to use creole seasoning is to blacken shrimp. My husband grills it and usually I toss it into my salads. Although this summer a neighbor turned me onto an avocado shrimp salsa that is nothing short of divine! x

Oh wow, I actually like the notion of creating my own seasoning — so that I can also control the strength of the taste. Thank you so much for sharing this! It's very helpful!

I love this healthy homemade creole seasoning. So much better than the stores. I will be making this recipe!

I have never made my own seasoning before. I will have to try this and the Jambalaya recipe.
