I will never be a bento box mom and you know what? I am okay with that. But, that does not mean I just throw together a lunch for my son that isn’t thought through. If you have been around here long, you know that while I love preparing yummy meals they cannot take long to get on the table. School lunches are the same way for me. Preparing great lunches for those growing bodies but not taking all morning to prepare, the less stress in the morning the better…for everyone!
One way that I cut down on prep time for lunchbox lunches is having items like the new Yoplait Multipacks on hand. These are fan favorites in my house and thankfully Jude is not picky about flavors of yogurt, he genuinely likes all of the fruit options.
I always pick up the Strawberry & Harvest Peach multipack but also like to have the Strawberry & Mixed Berry on hand as well. I love these 8 pack options because you can get a few different flavors to hopefully please everyone in the family.
Available multipack flavors:
- Original Strawberry 8 pack
- Original Strawberry/Harvest Peach – 8 pack
- Original Strawberry/Mixed Berry – 8 pack
- Original Strawberry Banana – 8 pack
- Original Strawberry/Orange – 8 pack
When I pack Jude’s lunch every morning and I add his Yoplait yogurt to his lunchbox, I know he will have a great afternoon after enjoying a filling and tasteful lunch. Oh and the teachers will thank you if you pack the new Yoplait multipack yogurts because these are so easy to open! Jude can open them all on his own without a mess! That is a HUGE for this 1st grader!
Alright, before I told you I am not a bento box mom but that doesn’t mean I cannot get a little creative with Jude’s lunches. Our kids are at school for 7 hours a day, while most days are filled with fun learning, running at recess and socializing with friends; there are days that kids have a struggle at school. For those days, a little extra note from home will only help them get through the rest of their school day on a positive note.
When packing Jude’s lunch, I make sure to add one of the lunch box notes we have created for him. They are colorful, fun and filled with positive affirmations. I love it! I know I will not be able to do this for him for his whole school career (parents are embarrassing) so for now I love that when he opens his lunchbox he sees a little note from us.
Now that we are about 6 weeks into the school year we are really feeling like we are in a great routine including our lunch box plans. In addition to having Yoplait on hand I also make sure I plan what I will be packing for Jude for lunch every day, just like I meal plan our dinners. It makes the morning easier to know exactly what needs to be made and put into the lunchbox.
Make sure you pick up the new Yoplait multipacks at Walmart when you do your lunchbox shopping this week. I promise it will help you be the Lunchbox Hero our aspire to be this school year.
We love peach Yoplait too! Thanks for the cute printables. I love them!
What a cute idea to add the little notes into the kids lunch boxes. I'm a fan of yogurt too, it's a wonderful and healthy snack. Hope the kids enjoy their lunches!
Putting yogurt to the lunch box is another step to a healthy diet. But how do you make sure that the temperature stays low, so the probiotics in the yogurt won't die away? The colorful notes are great inspirations!
This is such a cool idea. I love Yoplait. They have the best yogurt. I love the printable lunchbox notes. My son would truly love my notes.
Those notes are adorable! Such a thoughtful and sweet idea 🙂
We all love Yoplait here too! They have the best flavors and make for THE best snacks ever! For everyone – which is the best part! I love those notes – just so cute, my mom always wrote me notes in my lunch in middle school!
meal planning for lunch is essential to sanity during busy schedules! One thing I've done recently is make one meal a week in a large batch, and freezing the leftovers. Then on busy nights I can just pull that meal out of the freezer and we're all set.
I haven't done too much yogurt in the lunchbox. Unfortunately it just gets too warm while my daughter is at school and so the food that would have to stay cool just does not do that. When my daughter does do yogurt, she prefers to get vanilla bean flavored. It's funny thought as she isn't really a fan in ice cream but she is in yogurt.
Love these notes. I know my daughter would love to see them wen she opens up her lunch box. She would come home and show me which one she got that day would make her day
