Take Back “The Mom Car” – Simple Cleaning Tips
- Radio controls/air conditioning/heater controls – GERMS
- Door handles
- Door locks
- Window controls
- Cup holders
When we got home from the store, Jeremy filled up the Mini Rug Doctor using the Rug Doctor Detailing, Spot and Upholstery Cleaner and water and got to work. What was great about this Mini Rug Doctor was how easy it was to start using. The Detachable tanks make it super easy to fill and empty plus there is even a built in measuring cup to quickly add the formula easily. I really like that the measuring cup was provided because I hate using my kitchen items for situations like this.
The Pro-Portable Spot and Detailer System has an extendable handle and wheels that make it easy to take it wherever you need it. We simply moved it around the car as we cleaned. Talk about easy. I was a bit worried that the “mini” version was not going to be as powerful as a full Rug Doctor but I was wrong. This Mini Rug Doctor was great for the detailing and cleaning of my car seats, floors and rugs.

You can find the Rug Doctor Pro-Portable Spot and Detailer System as well as the Pro-Deep System at your local King Soopers. I went to the customer service desk and they brought me back to the cleaning aisle to decide on the products I wanted to rent.

I need to rent a rug doctor pro! I can not stand a dirty car. This Rug doctor really cleaned out your car seats very well. Your car looks brand new!
I would have only thought of renting a Rug Doctor for home floors. Using one for the car is a great idea. With four kids, my van needs all the help that it can get!
Carseat safety is extremely important!
I so need to rent a rug doctor. I usually go to the gas station and use their vacuum. I have to try this as it seems more precise and detailed! Thanks for sharing!
WOW! What a huge difference that mini rug doctor made. I can't believe the power it had. When I worked 2 jobs I basically "lived" out of my car because I'd go from one job change in the car and go to my next one and would find clothes, water bottles, and so much stuff and would always do a clean out. I may use that rug doctor on my back seat from my dog.
Wow, that's a serious car clean-up. I have so many of those embarrassing stains in my car. I need to rent one of these! #client
I always to to car washing shop whenever I need to clean my car. Great tip for having this kind of easy to use detailer. Sometimes even if we don't want to make our car dirty, it just that sometimes we were so busy.
My car is so horrible that I don't think even the Rug Doctor could save it. To be fair, it's 14 years old. I am, however, planning to rent one soon to do my carpets! I have two young dogs, one who hasn't mastered the art of "potty outside." UGH, right? A consumer-grade carpet shampooer just isn't doing the trick. Time to bring in the Doctor!
This is a great post with a lot of useful information in it. Our car has definitely become a Mom car. The kids are always snacking in the back seat and it's full of their crumbs and wrappers and other small toys they forgot about. I have to vacuum it all up this weekend and bring the car back to a respectable state.THanks for the tips.
Oh yes! Having a clean car makes me want to get in it and just run away! lol!
I love the rug doctor. They do such a great job with stains. I'm not quite sure where in California I could rent one but definitely would be great if I could find something local.
