After my first fix went so well, I decided that I had to try it again. I scheduled my fix pretty quickly again because I was excited to see what was next! When we got home from our Labor Day weekend fun I saw that my Stitch Fix was at our house! Time for a fashion show and time for some at home shopping!! I have to say it again, I am so excited that Stitch Fix is now available for Plus Sizes! Ready to see what was in my fix this month?
Item 2 – Le Lis Alapay Printed Back Knit Top
This top was beautiful. Totally perfect for a casual fall day. I really like the designs on the back of shirts, I think it brings a regular old knit shirt to a whole new level. Blue is my color so I knew this color would look great on me. I was right, however, the knit front clung to me in my mid-section and I was not happy with that. Totally bummed about this one. I loved that the sleeves were long too, great for fall and winter. This was a size 3x but just didn’t fit me right in the mid-section. This top retails at $48.00.
Verdict – Sent Back.
Here are a few tips I believe that might be helpful when trying Stitch Fix for the first time.
My Tips:
- Be honest on your profile – list your correct numbers even if it is hard to type those numbers out!
- Do not look at the price card until you try on your items.
- Ask for time capsule pieces – items that can be used from season to season.
- Think outside the box – try something new!
- Request for special events – need a dress for a wedding next month, ask for one!
- Update your price ranges as your budget changes.
- Share your referral link – people will sign up and you will get a credit! Basically that means free clothes for you!! Woohoo!

I really like your outfits and the tops are colorful and very fashionable. I will have to tell my sister about Stitch Fix Plus fashion!
I shop mostly secondhand and vintage, but I love, love, love this concept! Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be seeing it in Denmark anytime soon, but I'm definitely going to tell my US-based sister about this even though the pricing seems a bit steep.
I absolutely love that Plum Blouse! I would definitely would have to keep that…and those earrings! Those earrings are just my style and they looked as if they would go with just about everything. Of course…if the items I loved did not fit to my liking…I would send them back as well, but really love this shipment you received.
GIRL – you ROCK these outfits! ROCK THEM!! Keep them all and keep ordering Stitch Fix! They know what's up for you!
I really love how you look in those outfits! I like the vintage, classic look! I've never heard of Stitch Fix and will have to check them out! And the fall colors are gorgeous! #YouLookAwesome
You did receive some great pieces. The plum blouse and jacket are my favorite! I would love to have that jacket.
I thought you look great on all of them but that jacket is really nice. The earrings I would really really keep as well, those are my style. I've seen Stitch Fix before but I didn't know what it was, thanks for sharing. I'll look into it today.
Not being a fashion blogger makes your opinion of the products more genuine, in my opinion. I am loving the – 41Hawthorn Chaplin Hooded Anorak Cargo Jacket. I want my own.
I like that it comes with jewelry. Those are always the most fun for me. Stitch Fix is a bit pricey for me but I do like the idea of receiving clothes every month. I'm not a fashionista and sometimes I don't even know what's in style so something like this could really help!
I love, love, love Stitch Fix. I am on my 26th fix. I am 99% sure I have that same cargo jacket. I love keeping those cards and holding on to them for more styling ideas. I agree with you… the more you communicate with your stylist, the better your fix will be. Stitch Fix has bright me such confidence in my wardrobe!
Me like Cargo jacket too! The Le Lis Alapay Printed Back Knit Top looks absolutely amazing but OMG – yes you definitely don't want it to cling where it does. I have the same problem and I could see how these jeans wouldn't work for me either. Great choices girl! I absolutely agree!
Oh this sounds so neat! I love what they picked for you! That Cargo Jacket is so adorable! I think it would be so fun to have someone pick for you!
This sounds like a great idea !
I will definitely be curious to see what this looks like for men as well as women. I'm a little sad that you weren't able to keep more of the different looks as they were not really fitted right. But I can understand having to send them back if they just don't work. That does look like a cool jacket though. I can understand why you kept it.
