At what point do you consider yourself obsessed with something?  Well friends, I can officially proclaim, I am obsessed with Stitch Fix!!  Thankfully, I can be in complete control of my deliveries and budget with this system but folks…I am obsessed!!!
The days that I receive my beautifully put together Stitch Fix box in the mail is a good day.  I means I get to go shopping but not have to leave my house!  Love that!  Over the last few months I have been sharing my experiences using the Plus Size options for Stitch Fix and I have been pleasantly impressed with all of my stitches.  Whether you are a plus size gal, a misses size lady or even a business man I totally suggest you give Stitch Fix a chance.

For this fix I did not ask for anything in particular but I did state that I wanted to continue to build a time capsule wardrobe for the fall and winter months.  I also stated that I did love the legging look but had to have tops that were tunic length to cover my rear end because…well just because.  When I opened this fix I was instantly drawn to the fall colors and textures.  As you will see, my stylist knocked this fix out of the park once again!

Item 1 – Papermoon Rita Embroidered Tunic
When I first saw this top I questioned if it was really for me.  The embroidered design is very pretty but I thought it might be a bit to much for me.  I was wrong, I put it on with black leggings and brown boots as suggested by my stylist Kristen and boom!  The perfect fall outfit was created.  Let me ask you a question….do you mix black and brown?  I have always been told not to but after the suggestion from my stylist, I believe a little black with my brown boots looks great.  Thoughts???  Anyway, more about this top.  It is light for those fall days that end up a bit warm.  The tie around the waist gave me a little definition around my waist, better than a potato sack looking top.  I feel like I can be a little dresser with this top and it does cover my rear end so that’s a huge plus for me! A little boho charm with this outfit!  This top was a size 3x, fits great, however, it is rayon so I am being very careful with how I wash and care for this top.  I do not want it to shrink at all!  The tunic retails for $58.00.  A great price for a top like this!
Verdict – KEPT.

Item 2 – Rune Porter Legging
As my stylist said, these Rune leggings are so comfortable and versatile.  As I have said before, I am a legging wearer in the fall and winter.  Nothing I love more than boot season so when that season hits I make sure my boots are legging ready.  I know a lot of people are loving the LLR craze of leggings, I never got into that craze because while those leggings are super soft they are not forgiving of anything.  I need leggings to have a bit of structure to hold it all in!  These are exactly that!  They are black so they go with everything.  Great time capsule item.  These leggings are a size 3x and fit great.  After a few washes, they are still fitting perfectly and not fading at all.  They retail at $44.00.  I did cringe a bit about the price but decided to keep them.
Verdict – KEPT.

Item 3 – 41 Hawthorn Jaycee Ribbed Hem Knit Top
Oh this color!  It is so pretty!!  And the fabric is so soft.  The Jaycee is the perfect top for me.  I can throw it on with some leggings or skinny jeans and be comfortable but look totally put together.  Not to mention, the top is super soft and comfortable.  The color is a bit different than any other top I have which was really appealing to me.  I enjoy finding tops that I feel comfortable in and that I don’t feel like I have to tug on the whole day.  This top is a size 3x and fits great.  The Jaycee retails at $54.00.  Looking forward to wearing this through out the winter months as well.
Verdict – KEPT.

Item 4 – LuLu Carrie Plaid Infinity Scarf
I love scarves, I wear them year round, yes even the summer.  Summer scarves are the bomb!  ha!  Anyway, this light pink plaid infinity scarf is the perfect fall and winter scarf.  I love plaid for this time of the year, seems to make things cozy.  Adding this scarf to any of my solid tops for fall is a great addition to chilly days.  I have worn it with my burgundy Jaycee knit top as well as one of my chambray tunics with burgundy leggings.  So versatile.   My only complaint is that it is a bit warm, so it will only be worn during cold months.  This infinity scarf retails fro $34.00.
Verdict – KEPT.

Item 5 – 41 Hawthorn Chaplin Hooded Anorak Cargo Jacket

Yes friends, you have seen this cargo jacket before but in olive green. This jacket I got this month was a nice grey color. You know, to be worn with all my blacks and grey items. On my second fix I bought the olive green cargo jacket and I have worn it pretty much every day since. I love the fit on this jacket. It cinches a bit at the waist and the great pockets, snaps and hood just add some flair to any outfit. I am a jacket/coat lover so I had to get this one too!  I am set with jackets now!  This is a size 3x, fits perfectly, and retails at $88.00.

Verdict – KEPT.

Well there you have it!  Another fix in the books.  If you noticed, I KEPT all of the items again.  See….obsessed!  HA!  At least I look good doing it!  To purchase all of these items with my “Buy 5 discount” and styling fee credit I was able to buy these 5 fantastic pieces for $188!  That my friends, is a great deal for high quality items like these.
I am so ready for my next fix.  For those of you wondering about the prices, I will have you know, since using Stitch Fix I have cut back on my random clothing buying.  I know that great items are coming to my door so my shopping bug is not biting!

Here are a few tips I believe that might be helpful when trying Stitch Fix for the first time.

My Tips:

  • Be honest on your profile – list your correct numbers even if it is hard to type those numbers out!
  • Do not look at the price card until you try on your items.
  • Ask for time capsule pieces – items that can be used from season to season.
  • Think outside the box – try something new!
  • Request for special events – need a dress for a wedding next month, ask for one!
  • Update your price ranges as your budget changes.
  • Share your referral link – people will sign up and you will get a credit! Basically that means free clothes for you!! Woohoo!

That is so lovely you are having such good luck with Stitch Fix. I have yet to try this service box subscription out, but I really love the jacket they selected for you. I would totally purchase that as well

This sounds like a great idea to receive a subscription box of clothing. I had no idea it existed! And the clothing look great. 🙂

Whhhhhattttttt?! I didn't even know something like this existed and I'm the worst at trying to put things together. I'm so bad at it, in fact, that I don't even want to shop! Thanks for telling us about this because I loved all the pieces and I can't wait to try it myself!!!

First of all you look great in all the pieces, I want that jacket , I just have the problem of I spent all my extra money on my kids, so I never splurge on myself, but I love that this comes to you and you can try it on at home.

You look lovely in all these outfits. I especially like the first pic with the navy top and leggings. I used to believe I couldn't wear my black leggings with my tall brown boots, but I've learned to embrace the combo and it works out.

I really like the papermoon tunic on you, it suits you so well and the color works for the colder season.
Time to take a look at stitch box!

This is so great! I'm a plus size lady too and I've really been curious about what stitch fix offers. My wardrobe has gotten pretty stale lately. I think I'm going to try this in the spring! Thank you for sharing – and all of those outfits are very flattering on you!

I use Stitch Fix but I haven't been as lucky as you. Do you request a casual style? Mine seem somewhat old fashioned and fussy. I love what you got!

I haven't tried Stitch Fix and not sure if I will but I enjoy reading what other people get and their opinions. I really like that Hawthorn Jaycee Ribbed Hem Knit Top.

I am not a huge fan of pink or magenta however, that shirt is a very beautiful tone! Also, I think embroidery can be a hit or a miss. In this case, it is a hit! Just enough but not too much!

Heck yes! I LOVE the jacket and the Hawthorn top! Gorgeous selections. The only reason I ever quit StitchFix was that I always kept everything and had to save some money. Their stylists are on top of things!

That is amazing that they sent you all items that you liked and decided to keep. I have heard mixed reviews from other people. Some people love it, and some not so much. I guess it just depends on how well you mesh with your stylist.

Met them during a conference and both the fashions and the stylists were cool and fun. Loved that top, soooo bohemian. ; ) BB2U
