That dreaded meal of the day…lunchtime. I don’t know why my kids struggle so much with lunches. Don’t get me wrong, we do have those normal dinner struggles but lunchtime is even worse. Jude and Teagan are pretty picky eaters. They each like completely different things. One day they will love one lunch and the next time I prepare that exact same meal I think I will be free of the lunchtime struggles and BOOM, they hate it this time. Ah!! The struggle is real folks!
A few weeks ago I was going up and down the frozen groceries aisle at Walmart just trying to come up with some lunch ideas for the kids. Because our lunchtime meals on the weeks are usually in between other events and plans we have to keep those lunches easy just like our family dinners. When I was picking up some garlic bread for our Sunday dinner I stumbled on these little Cole’s Middles. Cole’s Middles are stuffed with a delicious, creamy cheese and comes in different flavors for every taste. You better believe I instantly thought of all of the great lunch combos I could create with these little cheesy treats.
Easy Lunch Ideas For Those Picky Eaters
Cole’s MIDDES™ are literally the perfect option for kids. They are great for snacks, dinner, lunch and even breakfast. And I love them because they are delicious and super easy to prepare. Simply pop in the oven or microwave and enjoy.
Available flavors of the Cole’s Middles :

My kids have enjoyed a few of the flavors and we are excited to try more. The plain bagel with cream cheese filling is probably their favorite. These have been perfect for our quick lunches but also great for breakfast before school. I love that I do not hear the kids complaining about their plates! MOM WIN!
I cannot wait to find more of the flavors at our store. Make sure you Check them out here .
Easy Lunch Idea #1:
Cole’s Middles Pain Bagel Cream Cheese, sliced cucumbers and apple sauce.
This might be Teagan’s favorite. She loves cucumbers and tolerates applesauce so with the Cole’s Middles this is a great meal. Protein from the cheese, a veggie and a fruit! And no complaining. Teagan is not a fruit fan, so I have to find something she will eat – applesauce is usually the thing she will handle okay.
Easy Lunch Idea #2:
Cole’s Middles Bread Mac & Cheese, carrot sticks and apple slices.
This plate is for Jude. Of the two kids he is the one that isn’t TOO picky but he certainly has his days. Again, just like the lunch idea #1, this plate takes just a few minutes to prepare. Love easy but filling meals like this.
I am happy we found these great frozen items to add to our lunch rotation. Not only do the kids love them but I enjoy not having the meal time struggles!

my daughter is an annoyingly picky eater. I have never heard of Cole's Middles but I am definitely going to see if she likes them!!
My nieces are picky eaters at times! These Coles Middles look like delicious snacks. Anything with cheese is delicious.
Honestly lunch for me was also a struggle in elementary school back in the day. I found that eating the same thing over and over again gets tiring and I’d rather skip eating it. I think maybe getting them to pick their lunches once in a while may make it easier.
Gosh my daughter is such a picky eater. But, one things for sure she loves cheese. I will need to grab a few Coles Middles, maybe I could get her to at least try one.
Wow these are a neat idea! I’d never heard of these before but I think if I can find them near me I will pick some up! I have one picky eater out of 7 so I’m sure he would appreciate these! – Jeanine
My grandson can be a picky eater. I have not seen these Cole's MIDDES products before. I will have to look for them and try them out.
