New Years Eve is really an adult holiday, the late night parties and events, delicious drinks, and gatherings as the ball drops. So, this year as we head up to the mountains for the New Years weekend I am excited to let our kids have a little extra fun when we ring in the New Year a before their bedtime.
Easy New Years Eve Noise Maker Craft
This is a fun little craft that will make some great New Years Eve noise….but not TOO much noise and the kids will have fun designing their own noise maker.
Materials Needed:
Scissors
Tape
Wood beads or buttons
Twine
Directions:
1. Create two circles on the card stock and cut them out. They need to be the same size.
2. Place the paper straw between the circles and tape them together making sure the straw stays in place.
3. Punch holes into the card stock around the edge of the circle.
4. String twine and one bead or button through each hole.
5. This noise maker is ready to use. Have your kids hold the straw between their hands and roll the straw back and forth, this will make the beads hit the card stock and make some noise.
This is such an easy craft and it can be personalized so easily. Teagan loves her pink and purple noise maker! I am excited to see what colors Jude decides to use.
Happy New Year friends! Have some fun with the kids this year and include them in your early celebrations!
What are you and your family doing for New Years Eve this year?

Who doesn't like making some noise to welcome the new year? I love making fun crafts with my nieces and nephews. We'll have to try this one out this year and make a little noise. Happy New Year!
My kids would love to create this, how cool! It's easy and fun and like Sue say's who doesn't like making noise, I know my kids do LOL!! Happy New Year!!
Fun and easy craft to do on News Year Eve. Just in time to be noisy when the ball drops 🙂
Thisnis so simple!! All my kids will love it!!
Haha … some noise but not too much noise is key :). For NYE this year, my boyfriend and I are headed to the western part of the state (Kalamazoo/Portage area) to visit college friends of mine. We all enjoy playing board games so it should be a good (and not too crazy, lol) time.
What a fun craft idea. This will be great for all the kids to do on New Years Eve.
What a fun craft idea for the kids on New Years! I am not sure what we are doing this New Years, I would like to be downtown with lots of noise and noise makers!
Great idea. I've linked up to it from my own blog post with New Year's Eve ideas for kids.
What a great idea! I will be skiing and so will my husband and one daughter. The other one is going on a sleepover.
NYE in the mountains sounds perfect! I live in the city centre, so it's bound to be a noisy night here. Danes are big on NYE fireworks, so I can look forward to those until about 3am, then the sounds of drunk people stumbling home. Your noise maker is adorable… and looks to be not too noisy 🙂
