The Breakdown by B.A. Paris
Cass is having a hard time since the night she saw the car in the woods, on the winding rural road, in the middle of a downpour, with the woman sitting inside—the woman who was killed. She’s been trying to put the crime out of her mind; what could she have done, really? It’s a dangerous road to be on in the middle of a storm. Her husband would be furious if he knew she’d broken her promise not to take that shortcut home. And she probably would only have been hurt herself if she’d stopped.
But since then, she’s been forgetting every little thing: where she left the car, if she took her pills, the alarm code, why she ordered a pram when she doesn’t have a baby.
The only thing she can’t forget is that woman, the woman she might have saved, and the terrible nagging guilt. Or the silent calls she’s receiving, or the feeling that someone’s watching her…

I have not had a chance to read yet this year and I feel behind. I keep my Kindle full of books an usually read 1 to 2 books a week. The first book I plan on reading is Gabrielle Union's book " We're Going To Need More Wine."
EEK!! This sounds GREAT! Honestly I only read 1 book this past year. I love books, truly I do and I KNOW I should read more. This book however, I just may order it!! It sounds excellent!
I think four books is pretty darn good! From one over-achiever to another, it not like you don't have anything else going on. This year my favorite books were A Thousand Splendid Suns (the plight of women in Afganistan) and Red Notice (the back-story of the Magnitsky Act). I'll definitely keep The Breakdown in mind because I do love a good thriller. x
I have made it kind of a goal of mine to read more and this looks like a great place to start. I like books like this that leave a bit of suspense and interest right from the beginning, makes me want to keep reading!
I just had surgery the other day and reading is something I've been doing a lot of while I recover. I read my first book by B.A. Paris and loved it! I read Behind Closed Doors. I will put this one on my list to read!
I think 4 is still a good number — because I only did 1 last year! It's embarassing, I know, and I do aim to start reading and finishing more books this year. Cheers to our goal!
This sounds like a page turner. I love thrillers that keep you engaged. This would be a great read over spring break!!
This sounds exactly like the types of books I would enjoy reading. Thrillers are always good to read when you can afford some downtime.
