Everyone knows that this time of the year brings all kinds of colds, sore throats and coughs. No matter how careful you are about washing your hands, cleaning the house, taking your vitamins you will more than likely get at least one cold or cough this season. If you are like me and your kids love to share everything, you will get more than one cough and cold experience. Lucky us!!
Oh parenthood, why do you challenge us so? Look, we all love a day that we can lay in bed, watch our favorite Lifetime movie and binge on our comfort food of choice but the fact is…most of us have ZERO time for that. So, what happens when that cough, cold or sore throat hits?
This season I have already been “blessed” with a super sore throat and cough, super fun. Like most mothers, I really do not have time to sit and wait to feel 100% so I have to find a way to make it through a day cough and sore throat and all!
I can handle the normal cold symptoms but the sore throat and cough that interrupts my normal conversations really hold me back. I am lucky enough to be able to enjoy a more flexible schedule now that I am working from home which lets me volunteer at the school more but to do that, I need to be able to talk!! This most recent cough and sore throat had me feeling like I shouldn’t be outside of my bedroom. That was until I tried the Ricola Duel Action Honey Lemon drops. Growing up, my mom always said that a bit of honey mixed with lemon juice was the best way to help a sore throat and cough, well friends, Ricola got it right!

How are you preparing for this Cough & Sore Throat Season?
I have always preferred Ricola because it is natural! They work perfectly – better than other candy like lozenges!
I have always preferred Ricola. I think the flavor of them is better than the competitors. I also think they work better.
My son came home sick on Friday from school and coughed all over everyone the entire weekend! I swear high schoolers are the worst germ carriers! My youngest daughter woke up this morning with a very sore throat. Here's to hoping I don't get sick – as I swallow vits all day and wash my hands 50 times! ☺
Have a cough and cold really sucks!! I hate not being able to talk (or yell at my kids! lol). Ricola is the best throat lozenge! I love that they are natural and they taste great!
My husband has been righting an awful cold this weekend and I swear we've been Ricola (cherry flavor) in bulk. We swear by them at our house too. On a related note, did you happen to see the story in the Washington Post about the message from an ER nurse about this year's awful cold and flu season? It's cute, informational, and will definitely make you think. Here's a link: https://tinyurl.com/y72mrljl
First, I just want to point out how beautiful those nails are in your Pinterest pin. Lemon flavoured lozenges are always my favourite when combating a cold and trying to reduce the sore throat feeling. It is absolute hell trying to go to sleep with a sore throat and constant coughing. I usually pop one in and lay in bed till I’m tired and my eyes get tired. It helps me fall asleep after a serious coughing fit.
I suffer every winter from sore throughts. Ricola has always been my go to cough drop. I need to pick these new ones up!
Ricola is the best!! I just informed my daughter to check with her doctor about her cough and to see is Ricola would be best for her right now. She's expecting and for some reason she has a lagging cough. I would try any other cough drop to be honest!
