Sure, I love the holiday season but Spring Cleaning season might be my favorite. Mostly because we can open the windows, clean up the winter dust, and declutter. Thankfully spring cleaning season also brings me some cleaning motivation. Time to jump in! Before I was a mom I really did not take note of the cleaning products that we purchased but now that I have Jude and Teagan, the safety of everything that is in our home has become important to me. Today I am sharing some exciting news about the Open Nature™ product line as well as some tips for finding a safe way to spring clean!
A Safe Way To Spring Clean With Open Nature™
As parents we want the very best for our family, especially our kids. Naturally, this means I want to keep our home clean for them but the typical products I would pick up at the store became a bit concerning to me. I started questioning myself about our choices of cleaning supplies in our home. Spring cleaning, at least for me, is a great new start. I love the feeling of a clean and cleaned out home which is why I love the idea of spring cleaning. In preparation for spring cleaning this year I made sure I used some high quality household care products.
Meet The NEW Open Nature™ Cleaning Line
You might be familiar with these products already but under a different name. Bright Green® brand household care products are transitioning to Open Nature™ brand household cleaning and care products and now it is time to make sure you are familiar with the NEW look. Thankfully, the new line offers the same great quality products but with an updated look. The Open Nature cleaning line is found exclusively at the Albertsons Companies family of stores family of stores including Albertsons, Safeway, ACME Markets, Jewel-Osco, Vons, Pavilions, Randalls, Tom Thumb, Shaw’s, Star Market, and Carrs/Safeway. I love this because Safeway is one of our go to stores for home products which makes it super easy to add these cleaning products to my shopping list.
All Open Nature household cleaning and care products are dye free and never tested on animals. The Open Nature cleaning line includes products that are biodegradable, fragrance free and perfume free, and are certified Safer Choice by the U.S. EPA. All Open Nature paper products are made with 100% recycled paper and are certified by the Sustainable Forestry Initiative. You might be concerned – no chemicals – how do these products ACTUALLY work? REALLY well, they all work hard on those tough messes your kids create on a daily basis but also for those messes that you get to tackle during spring cleaning season.
I have talked about this before but our kid’s skin is super sensitive, just like mine, so we do have to be careful with what we clean with, especially soap. I love that while these products are not only better for the environment they are better for Jude and Teagan’s skin as well. Bonus in my opinion! Clean house, cleaner environment, and happier skin!
Simple Spring Cleaning Tips
Make A Plan
The only way I stay motivated and ready for this season is having an attack plan. Sure, in a perfect world I would love to be able to spring clean my entire house but the fact is…LIFE. So I start my spring cleaning process by listing out my most important areas of the house I know I NEED to clean. Once I do that, I then make a list of what I want to clean and purge in each individual room. Hey, I am a list maker. Doing this keeps me on task and also helps me see progress.
Start In One Room
Do not jump around the house, well okay, do that if you need some energy but for spring cleaning, stick to one room and complete that room before moving forward.
Find The Flow
Go top-to-bottom, back-to-front. Do not clean your floors before you clean your ceilings. Again, this is how your list will help you know where to start.
Find Those Table Tops
I am guilty of making piles in rooms on dressers and counter tops. I always make sure I remove all of those piles and purge those piles. Most of that stuff I can get rid of or file. Once those table tops, dressers and counters are bare, TIME TO CLEAN!!
Get The Family Involved
Kids can help with Spring Cleaning, not only in their own rooms but also in the family areas of the home. This is why we love purchasing and using the Open Nature™ cleaning line. I am not that crazy lady yelling at my kids to “STOP TOUCHING THE CLEANING SUPPLIES”. Obviously, our kids need supervision and some assistance when we are cleaning but it gives them a great glimpse into the work it takes to care for a home and family. Love finding those teachable moments!
Find Some Fun
Turn up the radio, find your playlist and DANCE! Cleaning can be fun, cleaning can be therapeutic and cleaning can absolutely be a workout! Get to it, have fun doing it and take pride in your house and the work it takes to make it your home.
Open Nature™ household cleaning and care products are now available in the Denver area exclusively at Safeway stores. Jump into this new brand, start your spring cleaning list and be confident in the home cleaning products you are using in your home.
