The story of Christian and Anna is finally complete! We took some time to have a relaxing date night at home to enjoy the final installment of the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy this weekend. All of our necessities are covered for this much needed date night in; a Fifty Shades inspired cocktail, the newly released Fifty Shades Freed (Blu-ray combo pack + exclusive packaging + photo gallery inside) found exclusively at Walmart and our comfy couches and PJs! #Parenthood!
We started our weekend by heading to Walmart to pick up the Fifty Shades Freed Exclusive DVD . We knew it was going to be a great weekend for a movie night because our summer weather seemed to disappear for a few days. So much so that we had to close up our house and turn on the furnace again! Such a bummer but it made for a great date night in with our new movie.
This is not the first Fifty Shades of Grey movie night in we have enjoyed for a date night. This has become a little bit of a tradition for us. I go and see the movie in the theater with my girlfriends and once they come out on DVD we enjoy them at home for a date night. Once I picked up the Fifty Shades Freed Exclusive DVD I got so excited to share it with Jeremy. He would finally get to see story of Christian and Anna unfold. I have to say, the additional extras included in this Fifty Shades Freed Exclusive DVD was so worth the wait too. Not to mention the amazing photo gallery included with the DVD. What a fun extra to add to our date night.
I wanted to create a fun drink for us to enjoy while we watched the final installment and I knew I wanted it to be a fun Fifty Shades of Grey themed cocktail. I started thinking about the whole focus of Fifty Shades Freed – the marriage of Christian and Anna. I decided to create a sensual twist on a traditional Collins cocktail. Not only did this delicious cocktail turn out great but it was so easy to make to enjoy during our date night. Oh and I totally gave it a fun name too…introducing The Cherry Greys. The twist is in the name – Greys instead of Collins! Fun!
