Mom’s are human, which means we also get sick but frankly, we have no time to be dealing with a “Mom Cold”. Use these tips this season and you will survive a mom cold too!
Man Cold vs. Mom Cold
Let’s start this conversation buy talking about that elephant in the room – a man cold. What is a man cold you ask? A man cold is a debilitating disease that usually results in a man needing a few days of no parenting duties, daytime TV, all meals served in bed and no honey do list in order to be nursed back to health. Well really, in reality, a Man Cold is simply a cold but and moms can get them too but as history shows, moms cannot spend days in bed with no parenting duties, enjoying daytime TV and being waited on hand and foot. Okay, this is all silly talk but the reality is that moms do not have time to call in sick we have to do whatever it takes to power through those seasonal colds and do what needs to be done. Disclaimer – I do know many men that deal with colds the same way moms do! Please do not take offense to this silly talk!
Tips On How To Survive A “Mom Cold” This Cold and Flu Season
These tips are a must in my house when I get that dreaded feeling of a cold coming on.
Snuggle Up and Take A Nap
Ladies, we deserve this. Find a favorite blanket and a quiet space in the house and take a snooze. We all know that rest is super important to surviving cold and flu season. Even before the cold bug hits you make sure you are getting enough rest. You will hear me say this over and over during this tips post – you need this. You are a mother, people rely on you to be healthy and happy which means taking 60 minutes for a little nap or rest is important.
Drink Some Tea
Nothing warms you up from the inside better than a nice cuppa tea. The only thing that makes it better is telling a family member to make a cuppa tea for you while you rest on the couch. It is okay to ask for help. Keep in mind that you can use this mom cold as a teachable moment for your kids. Asking them to help you will teach them empathy and important care giving skills.
Journal & Planning Time
If you are like me, I have a hard time not doing something that makes me feel productive. During those moments of your Mom Cold that you decide to take some time to lie down but maybe you are not tired enough for a nap. You can always grab a notebook or planner and work on some goals for the coming week, month or even year. I am a planner addict so this sounds like heaven to me!
Take Time To Read
I know you have a stack of books you want to read…we all do. One way to rest your body is to just sit for a bit. Take this time to enjoy those books you have said you will read eventually. Mom colds can give us an excuse to do the “lazy” things we often push to the side.
Add EZC Pak To Your Routine
As most of us know, a general cold virus will not be treated by antibiotic use but since upper respiratory infections (coughs, colds, flu, etc.) are the most common infections in humans, it is clear that there needs to be some kind of support that we can use when we know we are fighting one of those infections. Did you know that average person gets 2-3 upper respiratory infections per year?!? This is where the EZC Pak 5-Day Tapered Immune Support comes into play.
What Is EZC Pak?
EZC Pak was designed by Sarath Malepati, MD, a California physician that was concerned about the global crisis of antibiotic resistance. This I can relate to, I feel like antibiotics are always prescribed and worry that at some point they will not work properly. Dr. Malepati designed EZC Pak as a solution to avoid unnecessary antibiotic prescriptions while enhancing patient satisfaction. EZC Pak was designed using the best available clinical data to provide optimal immune support to fight viral upper respiratory infections (colds, cough, flu, etc.). EZC Pak is an award-winning, physician formulated, 5-Day Tapered immune support pack composed of Echinacea, Zinc & Vitamin C. What a great combination of ingredients. Over 90% of upper respiratory infections are viral and as we stated before, antibiotics do not treat viruses, but strong immune systems do!
Buy Yourself Flowers
Seriously, flowers lift your spirit and do wonders for your mental health. Spruce up your space during your mom cold by asking your partner to buy you some brightly colored flowers. Being sick is no fun for anyone, even strong moms.
Why We Choose EZC Pak?
The EZC Pak is super easy to have on hand for when those upper respiratory infection symptoms start creeping up. By following the easy to understand instructions both Jeremy and I feel like these EZC Pak solutions are a must have during this time of the year. In addition to all of the great ingredients you are getting when taking this EZC Pak it is important to note that the EZC Pak contains no added sugar, is vegetarian and gluten free. Okay moms we will survive those Mom Colds and overcome this season of cold and flu germs. One day at a time! Keep in mind, while we all “mom up” in most situations, it is perfectly fine to take time to yourself and rest during this season. Health comes in many forms and a lot of us moms forget to keep ourselves healthy during our busy schedules.
What tips would you add to this list for Moms hoping to survive a Mom Cold this season?
EZC Pak is not a substitute for antibiotics if deemed necessary by your doctor, but serves an an immune boosting supplement.
I have never heard of the EZC Pak but it makes perfect sense. Ha! The man cold is a real thing. And females it seems do not get ‘days off’ unless you are in such bad shape it is obvious to one and all. The closest to us to find this is about 25+ miles away.
