This easy to make orange and cinnamon hand scrub is the perfect scrub to keep your hands soft and moisturized year round.

Why Orange and Cinnamon?

Orange and Cinnamon essential oils combine to create a deliciously scented and effective hand scrub that will leave them soft and moisturized.  They are great essential oils to use  because of the many benefits they bring besides just wonderful aromatherapy. Cinnamon Essential Oil  is an anti inflammatory, antiviral, anti fungal, antiseptic, and antibacterial. Orange Essential Oil  is an antispasmodic, sedative, anti inflammatory, antiseptic, and detoxifies.

Make a jar to sit next to the kitchen or bathroom sink or put together a couple jars for friends and family as a thoughtful gift.  This Orange & Cinnamon Hand Scrub is great for removing food odors like onions from cook’s hands, dirt from gardeners hands and nails, oil from mechanic’s hands, and more. I use mine daily but it need not be limited to just hands it can also be used on feet and body as well.

Make Your Own Orange & Cinnamon Hand Scrub

Ingredients:
1 cup brown sugar
½ cup coconut oil
1 tsp. castile soap, unscented
10 drops orange essential oil
5 drops cinnamon essential oil

Directions:

1. Combine brown sugar, coconut oil, castile soap, orange and cinnamon essential oils in a bowl until well combined. Add additional essential oil if desired to create a stronger scent.

2. Transfer to a pretty glass jar with a tight fitting lid- you will want to avoid putting citrus oils in plastic containers as it does break down some grades of plastic.

3. Add a bow, twine, or ribbon and a handmade tag if you are gifting your homemade hand scrub.

To use: Massage gently into damp skin, rinse well, and pat dry.  Oils may leave surfaces slippery so use caution, run hot water down the sink for a minute or two after use to help it rinse away.

I wish you could smell this through your computer.  Fall in a jar and perfect for your dry hands.  Oh and not to mention super easy to create too!  Love that.
