Summer break is here but so is lock down mode! Sure, things are starting to open but the fact is, summer break is going to look and feel a lot different this year. I decided that we needed to have somethings to look forward too so we created a Summer Break Wish List…lock down style!
Lockdown Summer Break Wish List – FREE Printable
Like many other parents, I am sitting here wondering what the heck we are going to do for the next 3 months and how I am going to stay sane! HA!! Now, let me be clear, Jude and Teagan will have their fair share of tablet time, video games and movies but I do not want their entire summer filled with screens. While remote learning was a challenge at times, it did give both of the kids something to do to pass the time. On top of these fun summer break wish list items I have already purchased some summer workbooks for both kids for them to do each day. Yes, I am that mom but I figure if I find a healthy balance of screens, “school work”, reading and some modified summer activities we can have a great summer break together!
Get Creative This Summer Break
What a great time to get creative!! Instead of going to your favorite places around your neighborhood – Zoo, museums, playgrounds, the public pool, etc. think outside the box and if you are like me…let go a bit! Yes, the house might be a little more messy with some of these activities but think of the memories you are creating with your kids in this unprecedented time. While this list is a great starting point, you can always add to your list…I am sure we will need too as well.
