A sweet, easy and patriotic poke cake dessert perfect for every 4th of July BBQ gathering.

Don’t you just love this time of the year?  Great weather, fun gatherings, delicious food and fun holidays!  Hello summer!!   We have a family tradition of grilling out and walking to our local park to watch fireworks every 4th of July.  We are so lucky that we have a great city show every year.  It is always one of our favorite days.

This year I will be making this delicious Patriotic Poke Cake to share for dessert after we watch fireworks.  I know it will be a hit because of the themed colors but also because it is SOOO yummy.

I love ‘poke’ ckaes. They are so easy and always look like you spent tons more time than you acrually did! This turned out cute.

This does look so good, and I haven’t made a poke cake in ages. This is perfect for the holiday, and I love this frosting, too.
