Summer Fun At Gaylord Rockies
This summer seems a bit more normal but I still did not have any big summer travel plans with the kids so knowing this, I wanted to make sure we took full advantage of the SUMMER OF MORE offerings at Gaylord Rockies. From the moment you walk into the building you instantly enter vacation mode and that is exactly what the kids and I were looking for this summer. Gaylord Rockies celebrates summer with a variety of family events and exciting outdoor activities at the indoor pool and waterpark complex called Arapahoe Springs.
This was our fifth time visiting the Gaylord Rockies and like our other visits, we were blown away at the beauty and excitement of this resort. The building is gorgeous and it seems like there are endless photo opportunities through out the building. I wish I could tell you how many photos I took in two days but that just isn’t possible! HA!
The Gaylord of the Rockies Resort and Convention Center is located off of E-470 and Pena Boulevard in Denver. Just southwest of the Denver Airport. A great location for those looking for a great place to visit for some great holiday fun for the family. In true Colorado fashion there is an amazing mountain view of the Rocky Mountains and the Front Range and the interior décor brings a perfect rustic charm to the hotel. Honestly, my photos do not do this space justice. It is breathtaking! Gaylord Rockies is the perfect getaway for the holidays and for summertime, no matter the season, you will enjoy your time at the Gaylord Rockies.
Sunshine and Pool Time!
I really do love visiting Gaylord Rockies year round but I have to be honest…summertime is my favorite time to book a stay. Enjoying the beautiful Colorado summertime weather poolside is my kind of staycation! We love living the cabana life when visiting in the summer because it offers shade, a place to store all of our things and the perfect place to enjoy a good book. On our full day at the resort we spent nearly 12 hours at the pool. We soaked up the time and had a blast.
There are multiple cabanas available through along the pool deck and lazy river. Cabanas seat up to 6 guests in a covered, relaxing environment out of the Colorado sun. Cabanas feature a comfortable sofa, television, mini fridge, and an outlet perfect for charging mobile devices. Cabanas provide prime access to the outdoor pool and lazy river and are a perfect setting for a day at Arapahoe Springs.
Cabanas offer guests VIP food and beverage service and include:
- Two (2) cans of hard seltzer and two (2) cans of local beer.
- Four (4) bottles of water, one (1) bottle of Pepsi, and one (1) bottle of Diet Pepsi
