I am super excited to share the 8th book that I have read in 2021.  Not just because it is a book you should buy and read but because it is written by one of my favorite people!  I introduced you all to Tara September a few years ago when I shared a book review of one of her other books, Jesse’s Girl.  Well, Tara published another book this year and it is another great one that you need to add to your vacation bag!

My 8th book read in 2021 is Don’t Start Now by Tara September.  A super fast read that will be the perfect reading material for any summer travel you might have planned.  If this doesn’t scream beach read I don’t know what does!

Don’t Start Now by Tara September

What can go wrong being stuck on a cruise ship with your ex and entering into a fake relationship with a sexy coworker? It might not be the Titanic, thank goodness, but Eve Richard’s heart is sinking by the minute and love is definitely going down.

Pulitzer-prize-winning war journalist turned small-town newspaperman, Adam Seager, has given up a lot for his work, country, and family, but not this time. He knows what he wants, and it’s his coworker, Eve. Her smile is the brightest part of his day and a daily reminder that more adventures are yet to come. When they are both assigned a travel feature on board a new cruise ship, it’s the perfect opportunity to let his feelings set sail.

Eve will never date another coworker or writer again. Been there, done that. Time to pursue her own writing dreams, even if it means bunking with the infuriating and complicated Adam Seager. So what if the butterflies he sets off in her belly can rival the waves outside their cabin. She intends to keep things strictly professional … that is, as much as they can be while also pretending to be a couple. Their relationship might be fake, but the pull to get to know more of him is real. Her reporter’s gut says there is more to uncover than meets the eye. But what will happen when they are back on dry land?

My Review of Don’t Start Now

Now, I am probably super bias because Tara is one of my bloggy besties but Don’t Start Now was really good.  I thoroughly enjoyed meeting each character and seeing how their relationships changed and grew through out the book.  The setting, a cruise ship, made this book even more dreamy…so ready to be traveling again!!

The silly Adam and Eve pun is fantastic for this book as the banter from Adam and Eve grows through out the story.  While the office romance begins in an actual office, I really enjoyed the fact that most of the romance starts while in paradise.  The couple is able to explore one another’s adventurous sides and be out of the normal setting that they are used too.

Don’t Start Now is a true romance book, one that will get your imagination going….thanks Tara, we all need this in our lives every once in a while.  As some that enjoys a good chic lit book with a side of romance, this books gives a lot more but as Tara and I have talked about before, we are all adults here!

I highly recommend this book to anyone that wants to escape for a few hours! This was a very engaging book that had me turning pages and wanting more. I told Tara that I want to know how Adam and Eve are doing now!  I need more!!  Read this book and let her know you agree with me!  Congratulations Tara on another great book!  I am so proud of you and love your writing!

SMASHING THOSE GOALS

Book 8 read! This was a great book to add to my reading list for 2021, super excited to continue with my reading goal for 2021. I have found that setting a goal of reading at least 50 pages a day is really helping me this year. I am always looking for new books to add to my reading list so please share some books you have really enjoyed recently.  Make sure you check out my 2021 Reading List and Goal too.  Maybe you can add some of my books to your list this year!

Make sure you check out my book review of Tara’s book Jesse’s Girl – you will enjoy this one too!!
