The countdown is on…4 days until these Elves head back to the North Pole until next year. While we will hate to see them go…I am ready to be done! HA! Finding 24 Elf on the Shelf Ideas can be exhausting. Today I am sharing some of our “oh crap we need to move the elves” ideas. These are the perfect last minute elf on the shelf ideas for you to keep in mind for the next few days and years to come.
Last Minute Elf On The Shelf Ideas
We are at the age with Jude that the magic of Santa and our elves could go away in an instant. That is why we have to keep up this fun tradition even if those ideas are hard to find. Some other things we have had the Elves do this season is bring new ornaments for the kids, Christmas PJ delivery and a craft to enjoy while watching Christmas movies. Simple but fun for the kids.
Gift Guards
We actually got some gifts wrapped and under the tree, after we did this we made sure that the elves kept careful watch over those gifts. Goodness knows every kid wants to touch, shake and peek at those gifts. The elves made sure Jude and Teagan kept their distance!
Car Buddies
This might be one of my favorite Elf on the Shelf Ideas. Mostly because the elves get to ride along with me all day but also because the kids FREAK out in the morning when they cannot find their elf friends. It is a great reminder to the kids to keep on track with their behavior!! And then, when they get in the car for school they freak out in a whole new way! ELVES!!
Tree Toppers
Look there are nights that we have no creativity so sometimes they hang out on the tree more than once in the season. This time we made sure they had the best view in the house! Tree Toppers! What was funny about this was that Jude took forever to find them, Teagan found them immediately! Crazy kids.
DJ Peppermint and DJ Cupcake
Our Elf DJ’s welcome you to the holiday PARTY!! These silly guys knew exactly how to get the party started!
Lamp Lighters
We got a new lamp earlier in the year and it might be my favorite lamp ever, I love the design. Well the elves must love it too because they decided to hide out in the lamp for a day. Nice and cozy.
Do You Want To Build A Snowman
The teachers might hate me for this one but I think it is cute! A sugar filled snowman breakfast!!
Make sure you check out our Easy Elf on the Shelf Ideas for the Busy Mom too. You will see a recap of our first week with Peppermint and Cupcake!

I haven’t done any elf-on-the-shelf, wow, we are missing out. I got so many chuckles at these cute ideas!
These are really cute ideas. I love the tree topper lol!
I suspect there are a lot of parents out there, out of ideas for their elf. They might wish they had bought that lazy gnome that never moves, lol.
These ideas for Elf-on-the-Shelf are fantastic – very inventive.
These are great! We haven’t done Elf on the Shelf yet. Hopefully next year since my son is getting older.
I would love to try some of this ideas with my niece and nephew!
We have never done Elf on the Shelf, however, I really enjoy seeing all the photos posted every year. I love the Lamp Lighter, so cute!
