Summertime calls for fun games in the yard with the whole family! The kids are getting older and that means they literally want to spend every day and evening outside with our neighbors and friends.  It is a ton of fun! I have been trying to find things for them to play in the lawn, so I decided to do a little DIY lawn game for the kids to play!  It turned out so cute!

Flamingo Ring Toss Game

Materials Needed:

Flamingo lawn decoration
Large sandbox buckets
Sand or rocks
Rings (we used diving rings)

Instructions:

1.  Build flamingos by placing stakes as the legs. 
 
2.  Fill each bucket full of sand or rocks.

3.  Carefully place the flamingos in the sand, push them down all the way into the bucket for more security.

4.  Place buckets through out the lawn and carefully toss each ring onto the necks of the flamingos.

5. For older kids and adults you could label the buckets with numbers to keep score.  
 
6.  Have fun!!

This ring toss screams summer to me.  The flamingos, bright colors and sand buckets are perfect for summer fun in the yard with family and friends.  I am so happy we created these, the kids have loved playing ring toss and the flamingos are pretty cute and festive in our yard!!  Bring on the sun, the water, the sand and the heat!

    Oh what a fun summer game! I'd love to do this with my kids. We love to play horseshoes, cornhole and volleyball outside in summer!

    I love this! You are so creative. Using flamingos makes it much more fun and colorful than a stick coming out of the ground. And of course, protecting our skin is very important! 🙂

    The Flamingo Ring Toss looks like such a fun outdoor game for the summer. We spend a lot of time outside during the summer, so I'm always looking for different things to occupy our time. Protecting our skin while we're outdoors is also very important.

    We don't have a lawn and we seldom stay outdoors and play this kind of game. I support parents who spend time with their kids doing creative outdoorsy stuff. This promotes engagement and extracurricular activities with children. The pink flamingo looks so cute!

    This is seriously the cutest ring toss game ever! I love those cute plastic flamingos anyways. I never would have thought to turn them into a ring toss game. Such a great idea! My daughter is going to love this!
