For Teagan’s 6th birthday she decided she wanted a Shopkins themed party.  At first I was stumped but then I started looking at the millions of Shopkins characters and decided that this could be a super easy birthday party!  I am so pleased with how this party turned out and I am excited to share some of the fun details we added to celebrate little miss Teagan!

For all of the kid’s parties I always try to find some kind of shirt or outfit to go with the theme.  When I first started searching for a Shopkins outfit mostly costumes were popping up but then I found this adorable Shopkins Skater Dress and Shopkins Slip-On shoes.  Teagan was in love!  Perfect and easy option for the party and they are both items that she has worn since the party too!

And now onto more of the details of the party!

Table Settings and Decorations:

If you look at the Shopkins characters you see a lot of bright colors.  I decided to pick up a rainbow of colored tablecloths to add some color through out the room and found some licensed Shopkins decorations to put around the room.  I did not go over the top with this at all.  I added some Shopkins plates and napkins and a cute backdrop for the cake table.  The rest of the tableware I mixed in some bright purples, pinks and greens.  We planned for over 50 people so staying away from the licensed items does help cut cost.

Shopkins Cake

Once again we went with our favorite “cake lady friend” and she always creates such amazing cakes.  The cake is always the talk of our parties and we are always so excited to see what Julie creates for us.  This has got to be one of my favorites.  The bright colors and creative details on the cake are perfect for a Shopkins birthday party.

Shopkins Party Food Ideas:

Like I said, Shopkins literally have a character for every type of food so this piece of the party was so fun and simple.

Our main dish was sandwiches that we picked up from the deli but the rest of the food was all “sides”.  These included chips, salads, veggies and fruit but all of those items had a fun table tent with a Shopkins name on it.  A fun way to tie in the Shopkins characters to the party!

We got so many complements on our party food and the kids loved it because there were so many “sides” to choose from.  Typical kid approved foods!  So fun!

What fun Shopkins party food would you add to your table?

We had to include our delicious popcorn in the party too.  For the Shopkins theme we went with some bright colored chocolate – pink, yellow and blue.  As always it was a hit with the adults and kid and it brought a lot of bright fun colors to the food table!  Make sure you check out our Popcorn recipe and make it for your next party!  I promise you, your guests will be asking for the recipe!

Activities, Crafts and Fun!

Teagan’s birthday is in October which means we have to plan it indoors just in case it decides to be snowing outside.  This means we always have to have some kind of indoor activities to keep the kiddos entertained and having fun.  Last year we did some fun Suncatcher crafts and Teagan asked if we could do that again this year.  I could not find Shopkins suncatchers but I did find some that were very similar that came in sports and fruit.  They worked great and the kids loved it.  We use our DIY Suncatcher paint again to cut costs on buying paint at the store.  I love that we found this fun hack!

Pinatas are always a hit with kids so we found a large Shopkins pinata and filled it with special Shopkins pinata candy.  Of course we used a pull string pinata to avoid any injuries to the adults!  HA!

We also bought a Shopkins coloring book and stickers so the kids could sit and chat and color if they wanted.

Our little lady had a great party and I am so happy we were able to give her the Shopkins birthday party she asked for.  I cannot wait to see what theme she chooses next year!!

Love this party idea! My little one is obsessed with Shopkins! What little girl isn’t, right? Looks like your little one and her friends had a great time. The party foods seem easy to prep and yummy but best of all they’re great choices the kids love!
