I really cannot believe I have gotten 20 perfectly packaged Stitch Fix boxes delivered to my doorstep. I remember my very first fix and honestly my items have gotten so much better since then. For this particular fix I asked for some specific items for the Mom 2.0 conference that I went to a few weeks ago. My stylist really listened to what I was looking for, which isn’t a surprise, they all have always listened to what I need and want.
While we are still getting snow in Colorado, I was heading to Austin Texas so I needed a few summer friendly conference items. Ready to see what my 20th Stitch Fix looked like?
The Big 2-0: My 20th Stitch Fix – Plus Size Fashion
Item 1 – Papermoon Truckee Split Neck Knit Top
This top is perfect for summer. It is nice and light but has some structure to keep me feeling put together. I really love the print on this top and honestly the color was scary when I opened my box. This is not a color I would choose in the store – which is why I love Stitch Fix. Stitch Fix helps me go outside of my normal. This top is a size 3x and fits perfectly. At $44.00 it was a bit pricey but decided it would be a perfect top for summer but also for my conference.
VERDICT – KEPT!
Item 2 – Fortune + Ivy Willin Knit Jumpsuit
Okay, remember how I said I loved that Stitch Fix takes me out of my comfort zone? This one might have been too far for me. Look, I love the idea of a jump suit and think they look amazing on some people. Maybe 25 pounds from now I will feel it! But this one just didn’t fit me properly. It was a bit short and while the vertical stripes did seem to slim me, all I focused on was the way the stripes didn’t stay straight on my hips and thighs. This jumpsuit retailed at $64.00 and was a size 3x. To my Stitch Fix stylist – give me a few more months of Pilates and Weight Watchers then hit me with another jumpsuit!
VERDICT – Sent Back!
Item 3 – Kiyonna Debby Knit Wrap Dress
Okay, I loved this dress. The color, the cut, and the slimming wrap affect. Only thing I was not super excited about this dress was that it was a TRUE wrap dress. Does anyone else have nightmares of your child unwrapping your wrap dress? No? Just me? This dress is a size 3x and retails at $88.00. Pricey!! While I needed a dress for my conference I just couldn’t fork out the $88.00. Now that I am looking at this picture I am really wishing I kept this one. Bummer.
VERDICT – Sent Back (now regretting that decision)
Item 4 – Warp + Weft Mattie Skinny Jean
I love Skinny jeans, especially colored skinny jeans. Pairing these teal skinny jeans with the mustard split neck top was perfect. While this is a perfect outfit, I know that these teal skinny jeans will pair well with a number of my tops I already own. I have another pair of the skinny jeans from Warp + Weft and just like these they fit perfectly! At a size 22w with some stretch these are so comfortable but can be dressed up. Now, I usually pay 30 bucks for my jeans so the $98.00 price tag is a bit crazy for me. BUT I paired these with the mustard top and had a perfect outfit for my conference. Comfortable but business ready!
VERDICT – KEPT!
Item 5 – Beach Lunch Lounge – Keiran Off The Shoulder Top
Looking at this top I feel a very vintage feeling. I love the colors and the vertical stripes. I even love the off the shoulder look however every time I moved the top would come up over my shoulders. So, in photos it looks great but once I moved it didn’t. I loved the flowy look too. Very summer ready! At at size 3x it fit great and was super comfortable. This top was $54.00 so a bit expensive for a top. I really wanted to love this especially because it went perfectly with the teal skinny jeans. BUT I couldn’t do it. The off the shoulder just didn’t work in real life.
VERDICT – Sent Back!
