Transitional For Both Seasons and Weight Loss

Since March I have lost nearly 55 pounds, while this is super exciting and huge accomplishment it also means that a lot of my clothing for the upcoming fall season is just too big for me.  Hey, I will take that problem any day!  So, while Stitch Fix is an awesome service for transitional seasons it is also perfect for those transitional points of weight loss!

For my 24th fix I asked for some fall basics just to get me started on rebuilding my closet a bit as we head into the best season of the year!  I was pleasantly surprised with the sizes I am fitting into and excited to share the great items that my stylist picked out for me this month.

My 24th Stitch Fix – Plus Size Fashion

Item 1 – Daniel Rainn Rawndy Woven Sleeve Knit Top

First of all I love this color.  Deep jewel tones scream fall to me but allows me to add some color to my fall black, brown and grey.  I loved the feel of this top.  It was structured but not too structured and the fun details on the sleeves made this a perfect top to wear with jeans or even dressed up with black slacks.  This is a size 2x and it fit perfectly.  My only concern was the wrinkles, you can kind of see them in the photo.  This top was a bit pricey at $58.00.

Verdict – KEPT!

Item 2 – Ava James Tex Flutter Bell Sleeve Blouse

Another fantastic color!  Cobalt blue has always been one of my favorite colors to wear.  I think it is a great color with my light completion and blue eyes.  In a size 2x this fit great but the sleeves were just a bit too big and and fluttery for me.  I do think this top would be perfect for a night out.  The light airy feel is perfect for those warmer fall days.  This top retailed at $38.00.

Verdict – SENT BACK!

Item 3 – 41 Hawthorn Zansia Curved Hem Knit Top

The 41 Hawthorn brand is a brand that I have bought many things from while using Stitch Fix.  I feel like these items always fit and wear nicely.  This top, while many of my Instagram viewers said was too big, is so cozy!!  Yes, I probably could have sized down but when I put this top on, I fell in love.  So soft, comfortable and cozy.   A perfect fall weekend top with my favorite jeans!  This top is a size 2x and I probably could have gone down a size.  Retail of this top $58.00.

Verdict – KEPT!

Item 4 – Bobeau Aleesia Bow Back Detail Knit Top

Okay, I had mixed feelings about this top.  First of all, it was not easy to put on!  LOL  So many layers.  Secondly, it was heavy.  And thirdly, I wasn’t a fan of the print on the front.  BUT love the style in the back.  Such a toss up.  This is a size 2x and I felt like it fit well but bunched in certain places.  This top is $58.00.

Verdict – SENT BACK!

Item 5 – Madewell High Rise Raw Hem Skinny Jean

Oh I need new jeans for fall and my stylist delivered.  I put these on and they fit amazing, hugged in places I wanted them and didn’t gap in the back!!  YAY!!  I was set and happy, especially when I saw the size – oh hey size 18!  For those keeping track – that is 2 sizes down from earlier in the year!!  WOOT!  BUT then I saw the price tag – $128!!!  NO!!!!!!!!  This was a really hard choice and the $100 gift certificate from my birthday (thanks to my in-laws!) had me screaming KEEP!!! Because guess what…my shrinking butt deserves jeans that fit!

Verdict – KEPT!

Well there you have it, my 24th fix!  Some fantastic items, even though some really went over budget.  I am excited to continue this health journey and use Stitch Fix as my transitional clothing option.  I know some of you have missed my Stitch Fix posts so I am back on track and hoping to get one fix post up every month.  Stay tuned and happy shopping!
