Why I Love Stitch Fix
Well here we are again, I am super excited to share my 25th Stitch Fix with you all today. Like I said last month, I am on a health journey right now that has led me to losing 65 pounds! While I am super proud of my work, nothing in my closet is fitting me for the changing seasons! I have always considered Stitch Fix a perfect shopping experience for transitional seasons but now that I am trying to replenish my wardrobe a bit I also see this as the perfect shopping service for those going through changes in their body size. While I do not want to add all brand new items to my closet yet, still have more work to do on this body, I do need some items to tide me over for the season.
For my 25th fix I asked for some fall basics just to get me started on rebuilding my closet a bit as we head into the best season of the year! I was pleasantly surprised with the sizes I am fitting into and excited to share the great items that my stylist picked out for me this month.
MY 25TH STITCH FIX – PLUS SIZE FASHION
Item 1 – Daniel Rainn Taravel Crochet Detail Knit Top
This color and pattern was beautiful. I loved the way this top fit. It is a size 2x and hugs exactly where I needed it too, very flattering. This top was $58.00, so priced decently. While I loved everything about this top I did not love that it was so light and had short sleeves. I knew I wanted more fall items so I had to pass on this one. Even though I loved it.
Verdict – SENT BACK!
Item 2 – FORTUNE + IVY Lennora Knot Detail Knit Wrap Dress
Stitch Fix is knocking it out of the park with the dresses! This color and fit is fantastic. I love the length of this dress and also the sleeves. This makes it a perfect fall and winter dress. I love the detail of the knot at the waist, and I feel so confident in this dress. In a 2x, it fits great. This dress was a steal at only $54.00!!!
Verdict – KEPT!
Item 3 – Madewell Button Detail Easy Dress
Okay, a shirt dress, I was nervous about this one and while it fit great in a 2x I just did not feel comfortable in it, especially when I sat down. I love love love the pockets and the color and pattern were great. At $118.00 I had to say no thanks to this one even though it would have been a great to go out of my comfort zone a bit.
Verdict – SENT BACK!
Item 4 – 41 Hawthorn Dania Tie Detail Blouse
I love all of my 41 Hawthorn items so I was excited to see this brand on my list again. This color is my favorite color and is a great jewel tone for fall. While this top was really comfortable and pretty I just didn’t feel like it fit right. Seemed a bit short in the front and the sleeves just hung funny. This was a 2x and retailed at $58.00.
Verdict – SENT BACK!
Item 5 – Skies are Blue Ollie Cotton Textured Cardigan
Oh this cardigan was so soft and comfortable! Oh and pockets! Hello! This was FALL. And at only $54.00 a great deal. This was a size 2x and I felt great in it. Because I am on a budget for my clothing I had a hard decision for this one. Yes it was comfortable but was it something I was going to wear often…no.
Verdict – SENT BACK!
Well there you have it, my 25th fix! This is why I love Stitch Fix. My stylist helps me celebrate my hard work and progress and gives me items to help me step outside of my normal!
