Well here we are…in the season of cold days! I love cozy clothes for the cold winter months but do not want to look frumpy so I asked my stylist for some nice cold weather options that have me feeling confident but also cozy!
As I stated last month, I am on a health journey right now that has led me to losing 65 pounds! While I am super proud of my work, nothing in my closet is fitting me for the changing seasons! I have always considered Stitch Fix a perfect shopping experience for transitional seasons but now that I am trying to replenish my wardrobe a bit I also see this as the perfect shopping service for those going through changes in their body size. While I do not want to add all brand new items to my closet yet, still have more work to do on this body, I do need some items to tide me over for the season.
Cozy For November – Stitch Fix Fun
Item 1: Vigoss Fable Skinny Jean
I do need some new jeans as my size has changed a lot and it is time to pack up those capris for the year. I was super excited to try these skinny jeans on but to my surprise, even at a size 18W they were too big on me in the waist and in the legs. At $68.00 I did not want to spend the money and end up only being able to wear them for a few months as I am still determined to drop some weight!
VERDICT – SENT BACK!
Item 2: Lila Jayde Molli Hooded Open Cardigan
I love cardigans and I love the cobalt blue but there was something ill fitting with this cardigan. While I believe this is a perfect way to stay cozy on those cold days I just wasn’t feeling the style. The sleeves were too long and I was not a fan of the hood or the slits in the sides. This was a size 2x and while it fit around the sleeves were too long. This cardigan retailed at $58.00.
VERDICT – SENT BACK!
Item 3: Kut From the Kloth Dayna Skinny Jean
When I saw that I got a pair of skinny jeans from Kut From the Kloth I was so excited. I have heard amazing things about this brand from Stitch Fix and you know what…all of the reviews are true. The jeans were soft, flattering and comfortable but the size was just slightly too big. These came in a 18W and I am wondering if a 16W would have been a bit too tight. I think I am in a weird size right now. The black wash was really nice, I have never owned a pair of jeans in this color so it would have been a nice addition to my closet. These jeans were a bit pricey at $88.00.
VERDICT – SENT BACK!
Item 4: MIX BY HAWTHORN Orly Ruched Side Blouse
Oh this color, another favorite of mine. This top, while not too cozy, is the perfect top for those chilly days that I want to look great and feel great too. I was a bit nervous that I wouldn’t like the ruched side but it was really flattering on. This top is a size 2x and it fits well, could size down probably. At $38.00 this top is a STEAL!
VERDICT – KEPT!
Item 5: Market & Spruce Aubree Elbow Patch Pull Over
Now this is cozy! So soft, so comfortable but not frumpy! And the fun elbow patches!! So cute! This looks black but it is actually navy which is a great fall and winter color. This pull over retails at $58.00, which is not a bad price for a good quality top like this. I feel like this could be dressed up or down depending on the day I decide to wear it. This top is a size 2x and the sleeves seem a bit big but I worried that a 1x would be too small at this point.
VERDICT – KEPT!
Another Stitch Fix in the books! I have to say, shopping after weight loss is exciting, fun and rewarding. I am determined to keep it up! I cannot wait to see what my stylist picks out for me in December. I am thinking of asking for a perfect outfit for Christmas Eve and a new coat.
