If you have been following a long for the last 9 months or so you know that I am on a health journey right now that has led me to losing 65 pounds! While I am super proud of my work, nothing in my closet is fitting me for the changing seasons! I have always considered Stitch Fix a perfect shopping experience for transitional seasons but now that I am trying to replenish my wardrobe a bit I also see this as the perfect shopping service for those going through changes in their body size. While I do not want to add all brand new items to my closet yet, still have more work to do on this body, I do need some items to tide me over for the season.
For my December Stitch Fix box I asked my stylist to provide me with some options for the many holiday events I had planned for December. I needed some cozy items but also some items that I could dress up for certain gatherings. I am super excited to share what my stylist provided me with this month!
December Stitch Fix – A Big Gift For Me
Item 1 – Mo-Ka Scarlett Hooded Cargo Jacket
Besides asking for some items for the holiday events I asked for a new coat. Two of my very favorite jackets came from Stitch Fix, but due to losing weight they are way too large on me now. Such a bummer but a good bummer, I guess. My stylist did not find the exact style but did send this great hooded cargo jacket. It is is the perfect weight too…not too heavy and not too light. Great for the changing Colorado weather. This is a dark grey and is a size 1x. I debating asking for a smaller size but felt like it fit okay for this season. While this was a big ticket item at $94.00 I could tell it was a high quality item that would last for years.
Verdict – KEPT!
Item 2 – Liverpool Cadence Skinny Jean
One item that I was super excited to try on was the dark purple skinny jeans. I love all jewel tones but especially the dark purple/plum. When I put these on I was hooked! They are so comfortable and can be worn for dressed up occasions but also as casual jeans. They are a little baggy at the ankles but with a good pair of boots I knew they would be perfect. These are a size 16 (OMG!) and they fit perfectly. These skinny jeans retail at $88.00.
Verdict – KEPT!
Item 3 – Le Lis Vernon Mixed Material Top
This top is a great addition to any closet. It is light weight and super comfortable. The colors are beautiful and I have gotten so many complements on this top when I have worn it. This retails at $38.00 – a great deal!! My stylist sent this in a 1x and I believe it fits great. I feel confident and great in this top!
Verdict – KEPT!
Item 4 – Eight 18 Francie Back Detail Pullover
I have a thing for stripes. I like them – even though a lot of fashion forward folks will tell me not to wear them, I feel great when I do wear tops with stripes. So, when I first saw this top I was excited to give it a try and then I put it on and was surprised at the back detail. At first I wasn’t sure about this style but after taking some photos I knew it was a perfect top to add to my “new body” closet. This is a size 1x and it fits great with a little extra room. At $44.00 it is a bit more expensive than the other tops I have bought but I couldn’t pass it up!
Verdict – KEPT!
Item 5 – 41 Hawthorn Karie Split Neck Blouse
One of the events that I told my stylist I wanted an outfit for was Christmas Eve. We always go to Christmas Eve service with my family and I knew it would be nice to have something new for the year. This beautiful blouse is dark green with dark purple accents. It went perfectly with the purple skinny jeans. I loved the way the top fit but mostly I love the color combo! So pretty! This is a size 1x and fit great. This top is $58.00 so it was pricey but knew it would be a perfect Christmas Eve outfit.
Verdict – KEPT!
Stitch Fix #27
Well there you have it, you read it right, I kept the whole box! With the 25% buy all discount it brought my total to $241.00 – yes expensive but with a new coat and a Christmas Eve outfit I feel like it was a steal! A special holiday gift to me!! With every box I fall more and more in love with Stitch Fix. I am constantly getting complements on my Stitch Fix items and know that slowly but surely I am building a great closet of clothes that will make me feel confident and great!
