For this fix I specifically asked for summer tops and more capris. While my stylist did deliver on these requests I have to be honest, this fix was not my favorite and my budget requests were not met. From the photos you will see that these items really are great items and fit my style and needs perfectly but during this time of budgets and less work (ugh Corona!) it is so important for me to stay on budget with my clothing needs.
Summer Update – June Stitch Fix
Item One – Daniel Rainn Branwen Cap Sleeve Pleated Knit Top
This top was so comfortable but from the minute I put it on, I knew it was too big. Even though it was a size 1x it was so long and I felt like it could pass for a maternity top. I really loved the print and color of this top. I would classify this top as a casual top so when I saw the price tag of $54.00 I was shocked. Due to the price and the sizing issue I felt like I had to send this one back.
Verdict – SENT BACK!
Item Two – Liverpool Belinda Crop Skinny Jean
I asked for more capris and these crop skinny jeans fit perfectly. I loved the fit and feel of these crops but couldn’t get past the white. Don’t get me wrong, I love the white pant look but with kids, it just isn’t a good fit for me. Also, I felt like these crops were a bit see through. These were a size 14 and fit great, so comfortable. At $88.00 they were pricey too.
Verdict – SENT BACK!
Item Three – Daniel Rainn – Fantine Crochet Detail Knit Top
Oh I LOVED this top. The crochet detail created a perfect frame around my favorite tattoo, my motherhood knot. The color was great too. Something different than what I have in my closet. In a size 1x it fit pretty nicely too. Maybe a bit too big but overall it was a great fit and I felt really good in this top. BUT at $54.00, I could not make the purchase. This one made me sad to say no too.
Verdict – SENT BACK!
Item Four – Kut From the Kloth Joanna Slim Straight Leg Trouser
I love the brand Kut From The Kloth. Every pair of pants I have from them fits AMAZING!! Trousers are not my typical look but I had to give these a try because of the brand. While the waist fit great and I liked the length I was super annoyed with the pockets, they would not lay down flat. In a size 14 I did feel comfortable besides the pockets. The color was a nice color for many different outfits. These pants were $78.00, so another pricey item. I wasn’t in love with these because of the pockets.
Verdict – SENT BACK!
Item Five – Beacon Alicia Pleat Detail Knit Top
This top is a perfect top for summer, super light and and comfortable. Great for those 90 degree days! I loved this fit and I felt like this top was really flattering. The print and color was really pretty too In a size 1x I believe it fit great and at only $36.00 it was a great deal. The only downfall was that I have a really similar top from a few fixes ago, same color and print! UGH!!!
Verdict – SENT BACK!
Sending A Whole Fix Back
I do not remember the last fix I sent back like this. A WHOLE Fix being packed up. UGH!! I was super sad to do this but the items just didn’t meet my needs and were really out of my price range at this point in life. I love my fix days but during this time of lower income and a stricter budget I have to be really careful with what I buy. Such a bummer but it doesn’t change the way I feel about Stitch Fix. I am excited for my next fix and I hope that my budget can be a little more flexible or my stylist can find some budget items for me and my closet! Bottom line, it is okay to send back a fix!!
