I cannot believe that another month has passed. While Colorado has had a few days of chilly weather, even a little snow, it has been a relatively warm fall. For this fix I did as for another faux wrap dress (love those) and more cozy clothes…hoping that the cozy sweater weather decides to visit us soon! Just like the last 7 months, my budget is super tight in terms of my clothing so I have to keep that in mind as I open my fixes and I am noting that to my stylist as well.
Getting Cozy With Stitch Fix – October Fix
Item One – Evolution by Cyrus Ladera Open Cardigan
I enjoy a good cardigan during this time of the year. It is a great option for those days that are a little chilly. When I first saw this cardigan, the first thing I loved about it was the pockets. The thing I did not like about it – the color. This was in a beige, while that is a great color for fall and can be used for all sorts of tops, I have always felt like beige really washes out my skin tone. This cardigan was a 1x and fit well. A great length too. This retailed at $68.00, so in my opinion, it was a bit high in price.
Verdict – SENT BACK!
Item Two – Fortune + Ivy Roanne Faux Wrap Knit Dress
I asked and I got it! I love the faux wrap dresses, they are flattering, comfortable and easy to wear. This adorable navy dress with large dots fit great in a 1x. The length was perfect and the material was so soft. I do wish it was longer sleeves because of the changing weather but at least it was not a sleeveless dress. This dress was $48.00! SUCH A GREAT DEAL!
Verdict – KEPT!
Item Three – Simply Be Hester High Rise Skinny Jeans
Skinny jeans are a must in the fall and winter – boot weather. These skinny jeans had a lot of stretch to them, too much actually. The soft material did not “hold me in”. These felt like leggings more than jeans which is not something I am a fan of. These were a size 16 and probably could have been sized down for me. SUPER LONG TOO! At $43.50, these were a great deal for a pair of jeans.
Verdict – SENT BACK!
Item Four – Pink Clover Nickole Textured Pull Over
Oh I love this top. Super comfortable for fall, great color and the texture was just an added goodie! I felt like this top was a perfect Saturday top. Not frumpy or messy but comfortable. This was in a nice grey color which I was a fan of. This was a size 1x and I thought it fit well. This pull over was $44.00, so a pretty on budget top. While I enjoyed this top I just could not add it to my closet this time.
Verdict – SENT BACK!
Item Five – Mix By 41 Hawthorn Paulsen Brushed Knit Top
Let’s talk about comfortable and soft – THIS TOP! Let’s talk about an ugly color – THIS TOP! I would have bought this top if it was in a nicer color, especially because it was only $38.00! In a 1x, it did fit great and like I said, it is really soft and comfortable but the color is not a color I wear or enjoy at all.
Verdict – SENT BACK!
Well, there you have it! Another fix in the books and it was a cozy one. Funny that the only item I added to my closet is a dress! HA! I cannot wait to wear it though and what I love about that dress is that I will be able to wear it for all the seasons! Love staples like that in my closet!
