Well, here we are again. Another month of pandemic style clothing shopping in the books. Once again, Stitch Fix makes this style of shopping super easy but really hard on my pandemic budget!! With all of the craziness of the kids starting remote learning again, I totally forgot to fill out my requests for my November fix but my stylist still provided me with some great items.
Winter Ready – November Stitch Fix
Item One – Kut From The Kloth Bhody High Rise Ankle Skinny Jeans
First of all…this COLOR!! A great dark purple skinny jean that is perfect for the fall and winter months. I love the jewel tones. While these jeans did fit great, I would not consider them jeans – more like leggings. With that said, I like a little structure to my pants….hold it all in please! In a size 16 they did fit nicely and the length was great. The Kut From The Kloth brand is my favorite jean brand from Stitch Fix so it is no surprise that they fit great but for $88.00, these seem a bit expensive.
Verdict – SENT BACK!
Item Two – FORTUNE + IVY Candis Back Detail Knit Dress
The Navy and floral print of this dress is really nice. This simple yet sophisticated dress fit great in a size 1x. The back detail was a great addition. I did wish that it wasn’t so boxy, I like some fit and flair to my dresses and I felt like it was a bit short for the winter months. For $48.00 this dress was a STEAL and something that I had a hard time sending back.
Verdict – SENT BACK!
Item Three – MIX BY 41 HAWTHORN Kallon Brushed Knit Hoodie
I don’t know about you but as the colder months roll in I have found myself wearing a lot more hoodies and sweatshirts. This knit hoodie is the perfect lockdown top. So soft and the color will go with literally everything. The added “sports” look was a nice touch too. This is a size 1x and fit great…not too tight, not too frumpy. At $38.00 this is a great top! Only issue…I have one JUST like it.
Verdict – SENT BACK!
Item Four MIA Jayden Pull On Bootie
I love booties. They are the perfect boot for fall and winter to pair with dresses and skinny jeans. These were really comfortable and the Taupe color is a great neutral to have in your closet. These were a size 10 and were a bit big on me. 9.5 probably would have been the perfect fit. At $79.00 they were too pricey for me.
Verdict – SENT BACK!
Item Five – Market & Spruce Millie Button Shoulder Pullover
At first I wasn’t sure about this top but then I tried it on. Not only is it super comfortable and soft but it fit great and the added details made it a new favorite of mine. The different fall jewel tone colors are my favorite. In a 1x, I believe this fit great. For $48.00, I knew that this sweater would fit into my closet perfectly. This is a great sweater that can be dressed up or down.
Verdict – KEPT!
Well, I only kept one item but this fix was still a great one. Like I said before the pandemic budget has me really sad but hey, it is life. I loved that my stylist tried to keep my budget in mind for this fix. Three of the five items were under $50.00 and that is exactly what I need right now!
MY TIPS WHEN SUBSCRIBING TO STITCH FIX:
Be honest on your profile – list your correct numbers even if it is hard to type those numbers out!
Do not look at the price card until you try on your items.
Ask for time capsule pieces – items that can be used from season to season.
Think outside the box – try something new!
Request for special events – need a dress for a wedding next month, ask for one!
Update your price ranges as your budget changes.
