Stitch Fix: The One I Sent Back
You all know how much I love Stitch Fix, so for me to write about a whole fix that I sent back must be super confusing, especially when you see these items! When I requested my March Stitch Fix, I asked for more athleisure items. I feel in love this type of fix and wanted more. What I didn’t know was that just a few weeks into March I would be interviewing and accepting a new job that requires me to put on real pants for the work day!!
So as this box arrived, I knew I would likely be sending it back…even if it contained items I loved. Hello budget and adult decisions! UGH!! So as much as this is such a bummer, I wanted to share my 42nd fix with you…
Item One – Threads 4 Thought Mikayla Performance Legging
I asked for a good pair of leggings that held me in and supported me as I moved around but was comfortable enough for some couch sitting. I really loved the grey color of these leggings and they really did feel great. In a size 1x they fit nicely. These could be dressed up or down and would be the perfect weekend pant! These retailed at $78.00 so they were a bit pricey in my opinion.
Verdict – SENT BACK!
Item Two – Bobeau Jemmy Brushed Open Pocket Cardigan
I went back and forth on this item. It really could be a great item to add to my office attire as it gets super chilly at my desk but at the time I did not know that. I loved the color of this cardigan too. A really pretty light blue. The length and material was super comfortable. In a size 1x it fit nicely. This cardigan was $58.00 which is a great deal. I could see myself asking for this item again now that I know my office situation.
Verdict – SENT BACK!
Item Three – Market & Spruce Brena Colorblocked Hooded Knit French Terry Pullover
What a long name for a super fun and comfortable top!! I loved this mint color – a great item for spring time here in Colorado. This pullover was and item that I almost decided to buy, even though I knew it wouldn’t be ideal for my new job. This top fit great and was really flattering. It fit nicely in a 1x and retailed at $58.00.
Verdict – SENT BACK!
Item Four – Evolution By Cyrus Spoofford Colorblock Hooded Pullover
While I loved the color of this top I was not a fan of the cut at all. It was too short on me and the hood felt uncomfortable. Also the fabric seemed really rough. This was a 1x and it would have fit okay if it was longer. This top retailed for $64.00 which was WAY too pricey for an item that was not comfortable at all!
Verdict – SENT BACK!
Item Five – Market & Spruce Egan One Pocket Knit Top
Hello warm weather! Time to get ready to show off those arms! While I really do need to think about updating my summer tops due to the new job I decided to put this task on the backburner for now. This top was really comfortable and I liked the simple stripes and pocket. In a 1x I felt like this top fit me nicely and was flattering. This top was $28.00 so a STEAL!
Verdict – SENT BACK!
Ready For My Next Fix
Well, this was a sad fix due to me knowing it was the adult decision to send everything back. I am super excited for my April Fix because I asked for some new office appropriate items! Cannot wait to see what I get!
MY TIPS WHEN SUBSCRIBING TO STITCH FIX:
Be honest on your profile – list your correct numbers even if it is hard to type those numbers out!
Do not look at the price card until you try on your items.
Ask for time capsule pieces – items that can be used from season to season.
Think outside the box – try something new!
Request for special events – need a dress for a wedding next month, ask for one!
Update your price ranges as your budget changes.
